Does a Subaru STI badge fit on the RS ??

I need to buy one, but i was told that they don't fit onto the RS! Can anyone Help ?

RSTHIS, im pretty sure that it is to big to fit the RS, but i have seen one or two with the pink grillee badge.....go figure. Also when i was in STi the other day, i was told only STi owners can buy the badge :? thats not fair

anyone else know?

You can obviously tell that i have no idea about cars, it's by boyfriend's car and i wanted to buy badge thats on the front of the car. I spoke to some lady at Subaru and she said that i could buy one but she wasn't sure whether it would fit ??

THanks for your help but i just spoke to another person from Subaru who just told me that the badge is either too big or too small, but either way doesn'e fit on the RS !!! How sad . . . . Why do they make life so difficult for people can't they make them all the same size?

But i was told that you can colour the badge yourself ! How i don't know?

i'm pretty sure that you can take the colour off the back of the badge and re-spray it. cause most badges are clear with just the colour painted on the back surface, pop the badge off and you should be able to see if it can be done.

Taking the badge off and re colouring it sounds a little to difficult for me, and i'm sure if my boyfriend was to do it, it definately would get ruined !!

I've seen an RS driving around and it has a pink badge, i wonder how they did it ! i've never really seen it close up, I'll have to check it out and see how artist the owner of the car really is.

Oh by the way do you know whether you can still get the original Liberty matts for the interior ? I didn't think they would still make them.

actually my RS had a pink badge on it before i bought it, so you must be able to buy them. i'm msg him and ask where he got it from

the mats that go in the new Liberty fit perfectly......GeorgeRST has them and they even snap down. Can get them from a Subaru dealership ;)

Just to let you know - if you ever wanted to get an STi badge on your RS . . . . . . . .

the STi badges are approx 3mm bigger all the way round than the RS badge and i am told that because the RS badge is flat you can stick the STi badge on top of the RS badge and it would look like it fit just right into the place that its supposed to go !!!!! :)

you can get them from bgt ( or what ever they are called now ) its in nunawading some one knows the address .

You can get them off www.mrtrally.com.au. Ring them to double check and get mums credit card ready. I think they will fit but will sit a little over the edges.

You can modify the stock grille badge.
Remove the standard black with prepsol. It wont harm the chrome or clear perspex.
I colourcoded mine Ruby to the car and it looks pretty cool.

As suggested before, you can stick the STI badge over the Std badge, thats what I did, it doesnt look out of place.

Yeah Ive got a GT-R now, split a coolant line on it yesterday! Grrrr....

I dont have the Badge any more, but I give it to mate to try on his WRX, he didnt like it so its just sitting at his place Id guess.

I just thought i'd add - that i bought the normal badge and sprayed it pink - and too me it looks exactly like an STi badge !!! So thanks heaps for all your help !!! :lol:

I just thought i'd let you all know that thanks to all your help, i'm an official subaru badge colourer !!! 8)

So far i have coloured them musky pink, bright acqua blue and burnt orange all which look hot on a RS . . . . .

and not to mention that i've inspired many people i know to custom colour their badges !!!!
