Guess who just got a speeding fine? Yes (stop laughing),I was on my way home after a long day in the sun, just cruising in the 60 zone (or so I thought) when a see Mr Pig jump in front of me holding a sign saying STOP. So I do the right thing and pull over. Apparently I was doing 61 in a 50 zone!!! can you believe it. And apparently I was driving in a "Parkland area" so I should have been aware that it is a 50 km/h zone(there were no 50km/h signs anyware by the way). Sorry ,but I haven't had the chance to read section 22b reference 5.783 of my Road Laws book lately. This was a clear case of revenue hunting, I don't think I was putting anyone in any type of physical danger doing 61km/h in a "ParkLand" area! .Our police are a fricking disgrace!!
Pissed off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was is a suburban street? If it's an urban area and the sign isn't posted you are supposed to assume it is 50kmh... still stiff getting you for it though! Bad luck!

Thing is , The road went from a 60km/h zone into a 50kmh zone and there were no signs, you are just meant to know when it turns into a 50km/h zone! What happend is ,as i turned off(it was one of them sweeping turns were you don't really stop) it automatically becomes a 50 zone. The cop was waiting just as you entered the turn in an undercover...no chance!

Ahhhh i hear they are doing a lot of catching people in transition zones at the moment... which makes you hate them even more than just getting caught speeding. You could have an arguement though if you take photos etc showing where the last 60 sign is and that there are no 70 signs. I got done on the Burke rd bridge over Eastern Fwy thinking that being a 2 lane each way divided road would make it 70kms an hour... apparently not!!!
