Hi All,

As some of you know, I live in Canberra, and was in one of the main areas that the fires went through. Luckily my house is OK, but around 413 other are not. Heres some pics that I took on the day, and the next day. These pictures are all taken within about 1km of my place.

Cant imagine what all you guys are going through up there.

We only had a minor blanket of smoke over Melbourne yesterday from the fires in the ski country, which was annoying but not even a patch on what your dealing with.

It just doesnt look real as George has mentioned there are green trees and burnt houses....its upsetting to see, the poor people that lost everything.

Must have been dark down there. In one of your shots there is a street light on.

It looks not real at all. It feels like Sept 11 again, this is just a movie right? :shock:

I was at Wisemans Ferry in the outskirts of Sydney a month ago and I think I seen 1 house burnt down in 50kms of driving. It looks like a bomb had hit the area as everything it its path was gone.
