Hi fella's
i'm looking at buying a b4 and was wondering when the first and second turbo's kick in.
is there much more tourqe that a standard rex
any help would would be greatful

First one starts about 2000rpm and runs out by about 4000rpm... then bit of a hole.... then the second boosts up at about 4300rpm to redline

Actually the values are 1800rpm and 4000rpm for the spool times. Kick in is obviously just a little later.

I'll be able to to tell you more once the damn car is sitting in my driveway!!! Bloody VicRoads...

Curent hold up is that a theft check is required. Apparently VicRoads have a new regulation for imports being registered here for the first time now requiring a check back in Japan. They send over the VIN and the Japanese equivalent of VicRoads sends back a report stating whether or not the vehicle is stolen.

Apparently will normal SEVS compliant vehicles a de-registration certificate from Japan ship sout as standard and this check isn't required. Vehicles that come in as parts and get re-assembled here or possibly the 15 year old imports now require this special check. It apparently takes 3-4 weeks. I think I'm about 2 and half weeks through the waiting period.. so yeah.... could be a little while.

After the check is complete I will still have to wait a week for the leaisng arrangements to go through.

I agree with Jake, the gold spokeys are a bit old school for the B4 i think. Would look better with the grey ones like on Squalls or that wagon behind it.

Heh heh... sorry dude... I still don't have th car for a start... but even so, I think I'm gonna keep the wheels. The more I look at 'em the more I like 'em. Nobody has them here at all, they're 17", they suit the car and it won't cost me an arm and a leg for 18's and tires if I leave them on...

Unless I can locate a set of S401 rims for a reasonable price I think I'll stick with these ones.

I did find a great set on an Audi A4 the other day, but I have a bad feeling they use a 5x120 pattern same as the BMW's...
