Dropped my baby off to the beauty shop this morning for a nip and tuck (read - fix the back fcuking door), had a chat to Damos (who was a the cruise on Sunday) and then he threw me the keys to the mighty loan car..........................................................................................................................................................A poo brown Ford Telstar......

I was shattered. This thing is slow, uncomfortable, automatic and has the style and sophitication of Nathan (j/k nath).

I'm stuck with it for about a week too. I would feel better getting my mum to drop me at the Pier in the Excel next week rather than drive it there.

Just once - once, I would like to feel good about the car I drive. I think its time to get serious with some mods boys.

thats right ben , theres no point in being a senior member of this club and drive around a stock rs , just make a bit more commission on some sales and get stuck into the mods

Ben don't worry too much. As long as THE TERD gets you to a from work you got nothin to worry about. On the other hand we could turn it into the official team donut practice car...................hehe

Drive a REX?!!!!!!!!!! Come on now, hasn't poor BEN gone through enough pain and suffering already?! :D There's no need to kick him while he's down.... even if he is driving a ford!

Right on Deaks - I couldn't think of anything worse than driving a blue VL executive, with a V8, and venetian blinds on the back window......*AHEM*, right Adam.

Donut car sounds good, but I dont think the auto would like it (its a gear bag rather than a gearbox). I did just realise that it is actually a TX5 Ghia, which I think is 'supposed to be' the sporty version!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Jake, colour coding, 17's, suspension, 3" zorst, VF snail, unichip, FMIC etc. I would ultimately like to build a 2.5 litre liberty based engine with either a true twin turbo set up or a big single - but thats serious bickies then. Might even slot in a STi version 3 engine in it instead.

Budge,
Leave him alone, why 4 you put these crazy ideas in the poor comics head. He cant afford to mod the RS, how's he gonna buy REX

Actually, a lease on a MY2000 REX would be only a bit more than what I'm apying on the RS loan, but if I'm going to spring for a WRX i want an 03 STi with bus shelter bonnet scoop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i couldnt think of anything worse than being beaten by the previously mentioned vehicle at the last wrx club event ( 14 vehicles embarrased ) !!

The rear blinds are the secret weapon , them and the polariser ( commo fans would know about that one )

Hey, watch it i used to own a poo brown (read bronze) Mazda 626, which is idetical to your Telstar Benny, the little Maz is now in my younger brothers capable hands and the beast is still ticking, i think its now clocked over 80,000 kms, hmmm i wish my RS had only that many on it!! And yeh its manual 2, so it had it far share of beatings from myself!

Dont knock the poor beast!

Actually for a Panel Shop Dunga, its ok. When my dad took his car to a body shop last time, he got a HZ Kingswood with bench seat.

Sorry Leigh, Iahve no symapthy for you though. I would never voluntatily own one of these things though. Its saving grace is the AC (the RS one is broken) which has come in handy.

Yeah Adam! Go the polarizer!!!! You have to have a HDT Brock though to get one don't ya... you must have got one from a wreckers to tune in the cars molecules... Oooooooooooo.... didn't they used to say that the cars could run with only 18psi in the tyres or something cos the chassis molecules were so well "balanced" that it didn't need anymore? Heard that story or something like that somewhere.... Man Brocky on drugs is scary hehehe

Mat

hey mat , you know your commo's but if i had the polariser and worked out the way to align molecules id beat everyone ! Drugs ? brocky? never.

Hey Ads..

Brocky is a huge advocate (and patron) of chiropractic therefore if:

Brocky = Chiropractic

And i'm a chiropractor

Therefore Brocky = Me :D

Also all you guys should be coming down to see me to make sure that you are at 100% for our cruises :D

 I'm a massuer also, so if you have any soft-tissue injuries I can fix you up. I wouldn't recommend a chiro.

DRMAT
13th March 2003, 03:10 PM
Yeah but if you want the problem FIXED then come to the chiro... i do everything he does and more :D
Plus you don't have a perfectly logical equation like mine 8)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Thats better. My baby is back on the road with a fresh door and new paint down the right side.

I'm very happy with the result with prefect colour matching and spray work, and would highly reccommned them if any of you guys ever want or need anything done. They will deliberately undercut insurance quotes by about $20 to ensure they get the business and will do a sensational job. I already have 4 new people sent to them for minor jobs!

As for chiro's - IM ALL FOR THEM. Last year I went to one for some bad neck pain, dizziness and nausia that the doctor couldn't work out and low and behold I was fixed within a month. Nearly 9 months later I still go back for fortnightly adjustments and it makes a world of difference. I'll admit though, they are not for everyone - I love to have my bones cracked, but some cant handle it.
