As far as I know it's just one model delivered to the Vic police as publicity/marketing stunt. Similar to the HSV GTO and SAAB 9-3 Turbo. It's apparently a nice shiny red colour.

Yeah it was a nice shinny red colour but it was only about the Victorian Police Farce.
There were fords and holdens there as well but you can imagine all the coppers going gaga over the Viper.

I remember seeing a Police WRX (01?)at the rally of melbourne a couple of years ago complete with radar gun on the side of it. You wont believe me but he was getting possum's crew to change a flat tyre! Should have seen the crowd that came to watch!

They don't actually have one... it was a vehicle evaluation day... kind of like a trade display day for the emergency services where they have all the new abulances etc and radio gear all that kind of stuff.

No hope 4 us here in NZ the coppers use twin turbo legacys in queenstown (tekapo) and on the desert road as it snow's alot there and they need the 4wd.

They are fully marked vehicles and scare the shite out of me.
