5ltr VB Commodore (stolen 5 times heap of S*$t) :x
Toyota Corolla hatch 16v twin cam (mandrel bent exhaust system) GREAT CAR :D
Holden Barina GSI (NICE CAR COUD HAVE DONE WITH A FEW MORE kw's
Toyota Camry station wagon (hey i needed something to put the pram in for my 2 children!)

Well it all started for me in a 1987 Toyota 4runner which was a 2.2ltr fuel injected automatic slug. Great for camping though.
Next was a 1983 Jeep CJ7 Renegade which i've still got and is nuts in the bush but shite on the road.
Then my Soob. As you can see i hadn't had any performance cars until the Soobie but at least i started with a good one.

It started with a VB MATE,fully worked 202 went preety hard for a old six sold that and brought a sweet Calis TURBO and than got the TURBO bug and brought a real car the RS BEAST

My first car was a VH commodore SLX 202. When the motor was blowing too much smoke, I made my first performance investment. A 6cyl stroker =186 block stroked to 235. i was 18 and at the time I thought it was pretty tough.
Then a VH commodore SL 173
Then VH commodore SLE 253, which is now a tough 308.
Then my RS! didn't know anything about them till I was taken for a spin in what is now my car & realised the error of my ways.
Ironically what got me hooked on the RS was as a passenger, beating a VH SLE with a stroked fuel injected VR HSV motor in it.

my very 1st car was a stock 12a rx3, it was a bucket of rust,
then a '84 sigma gsr another shite box
back to rotors s2 rx7 had a 13b mild port then a 13b turbo in it
next was rx2 sedan with a 13b turbo in that, (very quick at the time)
then a swift gti, (still have that)
what got me into a rs was a mate who had one, used to let me drive it and that was it... hooked, power, comfort, the lot and no petrol fumes and noisy fuel pumps like the rotors, what more could you want,
and the other thing was i liked the rexy's (the rumble of the boxer) but too many around, they're like a rich mans gemini, so that was another factor, rs's are rare

First was an 83 XE Falcon 3 speed auto,
then came the 93 Liberty GX Wagon (excllent off road, great for camping)
then came the RS, so I had two libertys for about 2 months until I finally sold the GX yesterday!

11th April 2003, 03:04 AM
1st was the Brown Hornet - Shit brown automatic LH torana. Then came the bog std RX3 sedan - a little pocket rocket. Then it was a TE cortina worked a little twin 48 mm webbers blah blah blah. Not too bad a car. Then it was a Nissan EXA Turbo. This was not a bad car too. Then it was a toyota corolla 'van' a 1300 cc piece of complete crap that usually ran on 3 cylinders. Then it was a Mazda 808 coupe - worked 1400cc went like the power of p***. Then it was a Mazda 929 hard top that i got off a mate for a steal...blew up one engine and replaced that. Then it was a V6 Mazda 626 front wheel drive crap bag of a car that slid at the thought of rain/wet roads......and then finally it was the 92 RS Liberty that is a complete dream of a car and will be with me until I can afford the B4 !
...and in between all that I drove my old mans blue bird (wagon)! What a ride !

First car was same as TOMO's a VB packing an sweet 202, then when I turned 18 I bought my Liberty from John French Motors. My car history is unlike some of yours and really I didnt own the Commodore, so you could say that this is my first car that is mine.

I didnt actually sell anything to get the RS, just blew the gearbox in the old pulsar Q and didnt wanna wait to get it back. And I like forced induction - first attempt - supercharging my MK1 Escort(on straight LPG). Went real quick for a few months, then I kinda forgot to check the water level..... it went bang about a year ago and has been rusting away in my front yard ever since :( Will ditch it and the pulsar soon. More to the point, my real toy - 69 Mustang was in the shop with a blown gearbox, for 4 months... yeah, yeah, I know, my mechanic couldnt organise a root in whore house. Anyway, he finally gives me my car back the day after I got the RS. Now im torn between which one to do freeway runs in..... brute horsepower, or a car with good power that is capable of going round a corner.
Ive owned the RS for 7 days now and it nearly ended last night. Was going for a leisurely flex through the hills, came round a bend to find a car on its side, blocking the road...... lucky my brakes work!!!! The guy was so paro I could barely understand what he was saying. He rolled the car twice and didnt have a scratch on him. He reckoned he was gonna do a runner and report the car stolen. I accidentally dialled 000 and got the fuzz up there.... whoops..... my bad! Cant tell the world how sorry im gonna be to see that guy without a licence
Anyway, will get off my lazy ass and take some happy snaps of the toys for u guys soon.

Started with a turbo Corona wagon which i owned for 8 years and spent a sh1t load of $$$ on, it ran a 13.2@106mph, great street sleeper. Bought the RS off exec5ltrvl after he spent his hard earned $$$, like Kevlar RS i will keep the it until i can afford a B4 and i just recently finished putting a supercharged engine in a Corolla i bought earlier this year. All cars have had great street sleeper value 8)

bosco you crack me up :D
1st car VB 253 auto on gas , it had cool 14 inch dragways that had the wrong offset and a 2.5 inch zorst the chicks loved it ( it was 1992) back then i didnt know shite about cars (some say i still dont) and forgot to put oil in it .
2nd car VB 253 4 speed ,british racing green and b45 rims and didnt really learn the first time! but i cut my teeth on modifications with this car , changed and built an engine cause i had nothing better to do! ended up running a 15.2 @ 92mph and broke 4 boxes .
3rd car VL turbo , i am from the northen suburbs remember! heaps of 1/4mile mods ended ownership at 11.7 et , great car and wicked hp
4th car the legendary RS , i decided i wanted to go around the corner instead of a driving straight past it and it was/is a great car with mild yet well thought out mods to make it reliable . Joined the rex club and raced for a year embarressing many a rex and collecting a couple of trophies !
5th and current car is the VL V8 which is used mainly to go club racing with as all mods are their for track use and nothing else , its reliable and cheap to run and though its not as quick as the rs it will get there!
next car is a 1994 rs twin turbo sedan that has been ordered from japan and should arrive in august , strictly cruising only as its auto with a 2/way roof .
ps mods on tt will start when it arrives :D :D

89' Honda CRX. Rusted out, stripped down, and much faster than anyone thinks. I've swapped in a JDM DOHC non-VTEC engine, and will turbo the sucker later. I've worked on my parent's Civic hatchie (almost stock as a rock), Mini van, my aunt's mini van, my aunt's subbie (90 Legacy L), and countless freind's cars. I can't say I've owned them, but I've helped keep them on the road. I will never give up my Honda, though. It's too fun and easy to work on. I will consider buying a subbie when I need a larger car, though. They just plain ROCK!

Full sick KA Laser Ghia with re-treads which went through 2 motors, 1 gearbox, 1 dash and all of my pride and self esteem.
Then I got a red 1992 Corolla GTi dumped on 18's but otherwise stock. Geatest little ball tearer of a car and still sadly missed. I would buy it back tommorow if I had the money! Then Vic and I could start team Corolla!
THen I had an old friend who owned a white RS wagon who toyed with the idea of selling it to me, but when he chickened out he found the one I bought in the trading post - white wheels and all. I bought it that night.

I had a Mazda 323 4WD turbo (Australian delivery) and got the turbo bug. It had a 3 inch exhast BOV and a big stereo and I had trouble parting with it but knew it was for the best cos I then I got my RS. My best moment with the car is the day at DECA I had cos it beat GTR skylines around the skid pan and that sent me over the moon. :D

1st Car: 1987 VL turbo (thanks to my mum for buying it and thinking it was a good priced STANDARD car) did the mods, lowered, exhaust, front mount, wound the boost up, blew turbo, (thanks again to mum for buying me a brand spanking new TO4) - hey i was a very poor school/uni student back then.
2nd Car: 1992 GX AWD wagon, sold the VL so i could carry my belonging to uni and back (sydney to lismore = 766kms).
3rd Car: It is still the same GX, but had a twin turbo conversion done last december (THANKS ALAN :D ). Back to a turbo and now boosting around sydney.
4th car the legendary RS , i decided i wanted to go around the corner instead of a driving straight past it and it was/is a great car with mild yet well thought out mods to make it reliable . Joined the rex club and raced for a year embarressing many a rex and collecting a couple of trophies !

3. Fiat 124 sport BC. Nicely done, recieved extra carbs and cubes under my reign.
4. VN Berlina V8. Stock then shift kit then intake mods then chip then all out take a mortgage 355 then replace everything so often from power breakages that I get the shits and sell it and buy a house and a (5).
5. 1973 TA22 Celica. Stock, one owner trade in. 8 track, working A/C, tired 1600 that revved until my mates allowed me to change gears and never blew. Gave up trying to blow it and fitted a 3TGTE engine with a Wolf 2D instead. Had it resprayed cheap cheap and cruised around for a few years and got bored and sold it. Cool car, the guy that bought it owns a shop called "racecraft". The car only got better.
6. Ford Courier ute. Used to transport my RMX250 at the time. Ended up fitting Delco injection from a Camira to it.
7. Bought the first RS. Nice car, had it for a while and sold it for good $$ after spending bollocks all on it.
8.Bought 95 Liberty Wagon. Turned it into GT replice with TT and everything else I could find. Wife loves it.
9. Diesel Rodeo. Not sure why but swapped it for (10)
10. 93 Liberty wagon. Stock but not for long. Turbo, FMIC, etc.

Mitsubishi Magna Wagon 90', good car for its use, transporting bmx bikes but more or less an absolute pile of crap, did some good hand brakies in it though!
Second car was a sweet Toyota MR2 which i sold a few days ago, 17's, lowered, nice exhaust note, I miss it already, at least until I open the garage and see the RS. No matter what mood your in, the combination of subie exhaust note, gearbox winde, turbo spool and flutter will put a smile on your face!! :D :D Best sound in the world and will never look back!

* Need some panel and paint work done in Perth aswell and need contacts who can do a good job cheap cheap!!

First Car was Subaru L sedan, 1.8 Auto (carby)
Liberty Gx FWD 2.2 (it was not taken care of) needed to sell as i needed a reliable car as that one had too many problems.
Sold that after 4 months and bought a Nissan Bluebird. 2.4 L NA I actually quite liked that car, was a bit slow, but sounded mean, then got the turbo bug and went from Nissan back to Subaru and bought My Legacy RS Twin.
I love it!!! Next car, Will be a A luxo lib or B4 or Fozza.
