This was my little excursion for Saturday night. Very very lucky that none of us were killed. There were 5 of us in the car. I was in the back behind the driver, the luckiest seat in the car as you can see. Some big lessons were learnt.....

Damn, Commodores are normally so safe in the wet too.
What's with the avatar RSTurbo, is this personal? If so, I'm not sure how to take it.

Fark man..... glad to hear you're ok.... i hope you beat the crap out of the fool driving though! I got no sympathy for someone who will drive like a cockhead with 5 people in the car, fair enough if you're a tool and want to wipe yourself out but shit you'd think with 4 of your friends in the car you sure wouldn't want that on your conscience. Hate to say it but you're a fool for getting in/ staying in if he/she was drving like that Hope the biggest lesson learnt was you not to get in a car with a tool again.

Al, about the avatar.... you are officially the biggest subaru tech guru around, if i knew half the sh*t you knew id be happy!! Dont take it too personally though, i dont wanna have your kids.
Matt,
the driver wasnt being a cockhead. the tyres were at the end of their life and it was just starting to rain. the car stepped out around a corner doing about 60, and then the front let go to. We left the road and the next thing i know we went over. Probably too fast for the conditions, but he wasnt being a hero.

I would argue OBVIOUSLY too fast for the conditions.... doesn't matter if you were only doing 60kmh if the conditions and the shitty car meant you should have only been doing 40kmh. I would count driving a car on bald tyres as being a cockhead personally. But glad to hear you are ok as i said.

i reckon that when that left front wheel dug in tim, the SS became partially airborn and ended up landing on the LHS pillars. It looks like they took the whole weight of the car to push them in that far. I've seen a fair few rollovers in my occupation, as you know, and this one really rates up there dude...you were all VERY lucky I would say but it is good to see you are all ok. :?
I attended an MVA bout 5 weeks ago where the 2000 model commo exec rolled 4-5 times and ended up looking in better nick than this one. On the downside...AFAIK the driver is still in IC.
Hope jimmy's ok man.
