On the weekend I jumped on a plane and went to the middle of sweet F all, Birdsville QLD for the horse races. Never thought I would end up there but work had a seat and I was asked.
Well let me just say if you get the chance to go, GO. Its a once in a life time experience. It was unreal. Better than any car racing event I have ever been to. It was so well organised and I never seen any no hopers giving anyone any sh!t. Everyone was just there to have a good time and party. Even if your not into horse racing (like me) you should go if you get the chance. Its a totally different place that I have never seen.
Oh yeah and if you take a car, take a 4wd with Adelaide being the closest at 1200ks and 600ks of dirt, followed by Brisbane with 1600ks and 200ks of dirt and Sydney with 1800 and no idea about dirt.
