I'm on a fast link here, but even yahoo mail etc have delays and take a while to do stuff. Gmail is instant, it's like it has everything preloaded or something.

possibly depends on usage, I'm subscribed to several mailing lists etc.

If you are found out that you've bought a gmail address they will cancel it straight away (if it already hasn't been canceled for being for sale)

I'm on dialup 33.6kbps and the speed is insane as PD said.
