as the topic says....
if anyone knows of any trusted mechanics that i could take my TT to.
it helps when the mechanic knows what they are looking at. most usually just guess these days
(like a subaru mechanic which said i need a new diff which ended up being a buckled rim making a winding noise  ) now figure that out

no major problem. i hope.
but ive got a noise coming from the bottom end. a knocking noise coming from the motor. gets pretty loud sometimes. ive had the noise since i did the conversion. i have done 4000 k's on it with no power loss

There's a good TT mechanic in the far northern suburbs of Sydney at Yandina(it's about 1300km north). :)

Meh, I like my piece and quiet. Anyone that's been to my place would know that, my mates call it "The Serenity".

The previous owner enjoyed herbal serenity. In fact he mass produced it in my garage under lights. ;)

Are you sure its from the bottom end and not a sticky lifter? When was it last serviced and did you flush the engine at the same time? They can get gummed up if it's particularly dirty in there.

Could be anything. Try V&E Rigoli Racing at Wetherill Park. 97563413. They specialise in the Subaru's and I take my car to them only.

BD4s have also done a few B4s so should know their way around the TT setup as well.

Hey,

I have a TT and my mate is getting a turbo conversion done on his MR2 at this place in Nth Parramatta called S rally. He said that they are pretty big subaru fans and have just done a Liberty TT conversion from front to back...

Give it a go mate... :)

S Rally Performance
Unit 2/ 83 Grose St North Parramatta 2151

Hope it helps

You should definateley check out NRG. They look after my TT and really seem to know their stuff.
Mind you, I must admit, I've never tried any where else in Sydney.
They are at :

hey guys...

this noise got very bad in the last 2 days. i noticed last night that the tensionor for the AC is touching the plastic cover for the timming belt. i removed the AC belt (which i think wouldnt have a bad effect on the motor) this made a slight improvement. the actual noise is coming from the timming belt or inside around....i can feel the noise from the timming cover. im thinking it could be the tensionor for the timming belt, maybe bearings are gone !!!??? i removed the side covers and no sign of wear on the belt. ive got work 2morrow so on wednesday ill be stripping it. hopefully ill make till wednesday [-o< [-o< [-o<

V & E?

Why dont we like them? I am not saying i am fan or anyting, but I heard they really know there subarus and are good mechanics?

I would take my car to NRG or S Rally. A guy there named vish owns a Twin Turbo GTB, has converted an Outback to Twin turbo and has done a twin to single conversion.

Great guys as well.
