hey guys just after some advice from anyone with an rs thats done over 200,000 k's, there an rs for sale up here in NQ with 270 on the clock bu only 50,000 on the new engine.

Its going for cheap because of the k's and the paintwork it pretty rough, but still drives nicely from the test drive... what kind of life expectancy would you give on the rest of the car(are parts easy to find because of the common NA liberties?)

the cheap option ???? or hold out for a better quality car for more dosh??

check the CV shaft boots, likely need them all replaced, check the gearbox dipstick, if the oil is black, likely the box is not healthy

check the radiaator end tanks for stains

other than that,do the wheel bearings sound ok when you drive it? whats the steering like? noisy/clunky?

anything like these can cost alot in repairs if the thing has not been looked after..

Subarus will cope OK with high km's if they're looked after.

My old GX had 190,000 on the clock when I bought it, and needed a CV boot and wheel bearing. But other than that it was in top condition. Previous owners were ladies in their 40's - 50's I think, but one was a real estate agent hence the high-ish kilometers.

the 50k km on the motor, is that a new motor or was it rebuilt 50k km ago?
