NEEEAAARRLLYYY crashed the GX the other night.....

i was coming home from work the other night, and it started to rain lightly, and it hasn't rained here for a while (gold coast). i was going round a roundabout at about 40-50km/h, and i see this car on the side of the road with its hazards on, with i presume the owner, looking under the car.
i think: thats interesting.
the water on the road just near there looked a bit strange in the street lights...then ROUND I GO into an instant slide like someone pulled the road from under me..... luckily i was heading straight for a turnoff from the roundabout. so i just planted the brakes and eventually slid to a halt as it was a good direction to be heading in. (read: concrete barriers either side)
i turned the car around (i was facing the wrong way) and kept driving till i could turn around and go back to the roundabout to see what happened.
It turned out this old shitbox cars engine seized and smashed the block or something and dropped all its oil into the middle of the roundabout!
lucky i didn't hit anything coz i would have been piiiiiiiised.
thats my story.

oh yea, golf carts..

thats a good bit of driving.. i wish they had sound... eeeeeiiiiii...... dat dat dat daaaaaaat, eeeiiiiii, dat dat dat.. ah 200rpm golf buggy motors.

Arghh thats bad! Hope you called someone to come and fix up that oil!

Also i can really admire the skill of those golf buggies, its easy to slide them , but its hard to get the power down to steer out of the corner like that :)

A similar thing happened to me on a round-a-bout in Brisbane about 2 years ago. Except there were about 15 kids on the side of the road with a barrel of diesel... WTF

Would have been alot more fun if i'd expected it! As it was i came out of it lucky, i watched a car in my reavision mirror come backwards down the road and into the gutter!
