a subie is a great learning car ...don't go overboard with the power mods until you've got a few more k's under your belt is my advice..and a $250 defensive/advanced driving course is one of the best mods you can do.
pics added, nice cannon!

after pciking my gx hybrid from Luke last week (std rs suspension) i can honestly say i love non lowered cars.
This is the first car I've owned that has been easy to drive around sydney without gritting your teeth or slowing down to 1km/h. however if i lived in melbourne it'd be dropped on its arse asap

Yeah man, don't become one of those P plate statistics.
After 2 acca's while on my P's (both my fault) I learnt I'm not invincible and not to rush things.
Congrats anyway mate - say hello to freedom

As a wise man once said:
Keep good distance from cars and fools that drive them.
Gap should be 2 seconds daylight, 4 seconds at night and rain.

they keep it on record ;)
dont ever give them any more information than what is absolutely necessary...
the whole "anything you say can, and will, be held against you in a court of law" aint said just for fun ;)
steer well clear of chapel st and dandenong rd.
its only good for defects and speeding fines ;)
