Firecrackers

Does anyone know what the deal with firecrackers is at the moment? I know they are illegal in Qld but what about NSW?
Anyone know of any shops in Tweed Heads where you can just walk in & buy some?

Even in the ACT you can't buy fireworks anymore except on Queens birthday weekend and i think one other weekend in the year, ACT boyz will confirm ...

I'm pretty sure all the fireworks shops have closed down in Canberra as well. We were going to drive up again before New Years and luckily found out they had before we got up there!

Down here in tas we can get level 1 (or whatever) "safer" pretty firecrackers off the shelf, but the bangers and more fun fire crackers you need a licence... which isn't too hard to get... If you know what you are doing :)

yeah down here in tas we can get all the good one at my bros wedding we had an awsome display but you do have to have a license. But what it costs you to get the license the cracker shop give you that amount of free fireworks :lol: because they dont reckon you should have to get one.

Nah the shops are still open AFAIK, and pretty much was karupticon said: only technically allowed to purchase them on the queens bday long weekend, and decorative only :wink:

i used to go get firecrakers from a place in china town(eastern supermarket or something like that) , the guy was like 80 yrs old who sold them to me, dont no if he still sells them.

You can get them depending on who you know I used to be able to get the big bastard Moomba ones...Gees they're fun especialy seeing we used to let them off on Kew Boulevard so every one in a 10 km radius could enjoy em
