OB5ESD update

[OB5ESD]

Just got the car back on friday from the panel beater.
I've done a series 2 front end conversion, added the rear lip, pumped and lipped the guards and resprayed the whole car in a custom Pink/Magenta/Violet/purple mix. in different lights it is all kinds of colours, even red and burgandy at some stage.
It still has to go back next week for new chrome strips in the bars, buff (its straight off the gun) and a few other little things but the majority is done.

in person, the colour of the interior doesnt look bad, i thought it wouldnt match but it goes alright. several people think it looks like a bubble gum car coz the clash between the two, pics still dont show the colour how it is.
Interior may get a retrim next yr but im building a motor for it now.

hey man your car looks mad, i doubt the pictures show the colour propy tho, i do however thing it would look better with the rear wing on it as in my opinion it looks like an LX but it does look nice and the chrome wheels match it :D

was quoted to drive in drive out $9500 but i made a deal with the spraypainter, i have had the car sprayed there once, plus extras too, i stripped it to a shell, rubbed it down, fitted the new front end then got it towed out there then all they had to do was lip and pump the guards, strip the front back to metal, prep it all, prep the lip and front bar etc then paint it. once that was done i took it home on a towey and fitted it back up. It goes back in on wednesday to get detailed then it should be sweet.
Ill just say i didnt even pay half of what its worth.
No reason for the respray, it was a shame to destroy the paint that was on it, just wanted a change.

The more i look at it the more i like it, i think that the wheels suit it more now, i even like the interior colour now, never used to. The blue matches the paint and can even be seen in it.

The only criticism would be that their is a bit too much blue on the interior maybe if the roof and pillars were done in like a bone colour? Just to break it up a bit.

It's not for sale, sticker has to come off, its still on there from autosalon.

Badges are going back on the C pillar, i think they add a nice touch. only the rear centre subaru logo will go on the back, the rest have been welded up.

Car has been sitting that high at the front because the drivers wheel sticks out a good half inch, now that the guards are pumped out it only SLIGHTLY sticks out, by a couple of mm's so when i get around to it ill be putting a slight negative camber on the front and lowering it another inch.

been pulled over twice and got away with warnings about several things to get the car engineered so i dont have any more hassles. The car will be fully engineered once ive done the conversion, or once i get defected, whichever comes first. The car hasnt been out in this colour enough yet to see how the cops like it, only been out twice on the weekend and its back at the shop getting buffed etc at the moment.

You just need a change of records (brown form)
which is basicly a partial blue slip

pay a mechanic $21 to write on a rta form the engine number, VIN number, rego number and the new colour

had to do it when i replaced my engine, minus the new colour bit.

easy way to make $21 bucks, takes them like 1 min

Saw the car in the flesh on the weekend at the pre-cruise meet up at KK's.. photos really don't show the actual colour of the car. Looks very different when you see it in person.
