Hi All,
I am looking to purchase a half cut over here in W.A. and have noticed in the magazines that they are far cheaper over East than over here .
Can anyone shed any light on this for me.Transport costs from QLD to WA cant be over $1000.00 can they.
I belive the container ships travel from Japan to QLD then down the eastern seaboard then over to W.A. anyway. ???
Any info welcome.

I reckon you might find its because the majority of such items are unloaded on the Eastern seaboard and then freighted over. The other thing is that the demand in the east is more than likely higher and as such the prices are driven lower through competition. My thoughts anyway!

I found the same problem in the N.T it is almost always cheaper to look online and get something freighted than it is to buy it through a dealer/shop here. Doubt u would pay more than $300 for freight to W.A from sydney or qld.
The only problem is you can't see the parts with your own eyes.
