Can't believe the price of 89-90 Rs's ($1000), for a clapped out one with around 200,000 km on it.
They love the twin turbo legacys as I stopped counting the amount I saw just driving around.

they are a dime a dozen here, has its advantages in some ways.
decent 89-92\93 are $4-$6k with 130-150kms on em and in reasonable condition.

funny you say that, last I heard we were in the top 3 worst countries in the world for road related death per capita, and a good percentage of those would be kids aged 15-24. but you know what I never heard of anyone dying in a legacy, although I'm sure its happened plenty.

Just got back from NZ (Queenstown) this morning, could not get over how many newer Liberty (Legacy) GTs/GTBs/B4's there were. Approx every 1 in 4 cars on the street was a Lib.
The prices in the local car classifieds made me cry too - $16k for a 2000+ GT.
98 turbo Forries for under $10k!
*sigh*
