Hi,
Am just wondering if someone can let me know if this conversion is similar to the RS convert, are the mounts etc the same and is there anything i need to look out for.
The half cut i've come across has no rear diff. Which ratio will i need for the legacy? Are they harder to come across?

Anyone who owns a TT converted lib, what is maintenance like?

Sorry about all the Q's guys im just desperate to do the conversion and the RS half cuts seem rare as rocking horse sh*t.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Edit: I've read through the guides, if i am to follow the same ones, let me know, am not after a full run down. Just some basic do's and don'ts.

Have a talk to LegacyTT (Ian), he has done a conversion and would know some traps.

Mind you, his was into a liberty Gen II and not a RS if that is the way you are heading.

Managed to track down an RS half cut after a few days of tonnes of phone calls. Not going to worry abotu the twin turbo, sounds like more money in the end to me hehe.

Good idea to go with the RS half cut. My dad's Gen II got a twin turbo transplant. They are alright if you leave them relatively stock but they are more hassle than they are worth trying to mod them.

The turbos are so small and with big exhausts the turbos tend to overspeed and crap themself. Dads car has already gone through 1 primary and 1 secondary turbo. When the turbos stage from primary to secondary there is a big boost and power drop. This also isnt that smooth on the road when you have your foot planted. I think Subaru have improved with the later model TT setups........

Dad's car is currently at the mechanics getting a single turbo conversion.

wouldnt u wanna just go E20t rather twin setup?
Single turbo set up would be more fun and more u could do with it?
