On closser inspection, i've noticed a few things!!
It doesn't seem to be running a AF sensor AT ALL. Thats no good, right? Its got a 3 inch exhaust from the turbo back, but they seemed to have plugged the hole up where the sensor should go.
I gave it a nice boot in 2nd this morning, it wasn't quite warmed up, when i backed off, then accelarated as per normal, it stutterd and lost all power, i pulled over and let it idle, and now its fine. Maybe it over loaded on fuel??

The AFM is usually just after the airbox/pod filter. The dump pipe comes off the back of the turbo, and the sensor sitting just after that is the Oxygen sensor. It reads the exhaust gas levels and adjusts the fuel mixture accordingly.
Pretty sure that's right yeah?

Yeah thats the sensor im missing, Oxy sensor. So if i booted it when it was warming up, maybe it overloaded on fuel, and the powerloss and the stuttering was the fuel tring to burn off?
P.s. Im trying to find a logical explaination so someone doesnt turn around and tell me my cars broken. Lol

The oxygen sensor can also be in the headers before the up pipe (drivers side), this is common on conversions.
Very nice find for 5k

Access from under or above the car?? Is that where all the heat shrouding is under neath?

have a look and see if there is any wires running to any part of the headers or the up pipe if there is none on the dump pipe. look above and below the engine. below would probably be a better look.

Access from underneath, although it's just as easy to see if you need to take the drivers wheel off for any reason. Should have wiring going down to it (with a connector) from the airbox-ish area.

That's the sucker. Now take it out and make sure it's all looking good (takes 30seconds) - over time the protective metal over the actual sensor can crumble away meaning it does SFA (and you've got the possibility of bits going into your turbo)

Mousie was right JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market. If it was a genuine Legacy import it should have two clear reverse lights on the rear, colour coded side mirrors, square foglights, indicators in the front lights instead of on the front quarter panel, 180km speedo, climate control, chrome door handles, and a few other tell tail things. You seem to have a lot of those, but not all. Still for that money, i think you've done well. :D

Yeah I didn't put my heat shield back on :)
Yeah that looks fine. This is what mine looked like when I pulled it off (on the right)

You can clean it if you want, carby/contact cleaner (normally the same for most auto applicatons)
