-noise dampening /carpet
-spare / tools
-lightweight wheels
-air con
-lightened diffs save a few kg
- acid bath the chassis or something?

Replace cast exhaust manifold with stainless headers
Install lightweight flywheel (mine is an MRT 4.9 kg, stock is 10.5 kg!)

remove all ghetto sub woofers and amps, spare tyre as it is usually wrong size anyways if u have changed wheels, power windows, aircon, spoiler, neons, coilovers are a fair bit lighter. remove the 10 years of gravel and dirt from the underside. :)

no offense guys but it's a waste of time. you want to go faster? then the only way is more power. forget minor things like taking the parcel shelf out, carpet and stereo blah blah. end rant

If it is a purpose build track car or something along those lines then it's definitely worth shedding a few kilos. It'll also improve handling and braking and cost little compared to adding kws.

neatly remove the inner pannels from the doors, remove cruise and everything thats not necessary for the operation of the vehicle. (also rewire the vehicle to remove any un necessary wires) replace the windows with plexi glass, remove all dash trims anything like that.

from what i have been told it is actually illegal to remove the rear parcel shelf, hence why most audio installation places wont even cut holes in it and use the raisers when installing aftermarket speakers.
Ivana, your car is allready underweight then most of hours as its only FWD, there is a fair bit more weight in the AWD system.

Yeah ive, fwd is saving you some weight mate, nathans car used to beat mine for example we cruised up the putty road and dad was driving nathans and he was getting away from me up the hill after the hairpin tyres spinning lol, and his car wont out handle mine anyday of the week. you know we still have a whole awd system at my place ready to go into nathans car so we should weigh it somehow find out how much weight is in the whole system.
as far as track cars go pretty much absolutely anything non essentail is ditched as you add weight with things such as a roll cage, and stiffer suspension components etc. aslo last nigth it was raining so I went and drove the lx around so I could practise my fwd drifting technique lol.

fwd saves on just under 300kgs by memory.
also, fluids, who needs them. oil, coolant, petrol, brake fluid - thus, sump, brakes, radiator, motor, all hoses, are useless.
but seriously the amount your going to loose isnt worth it in a street car as said above.

Are you sure about that?
That means a gen 1 LX FWD Liberty weighs 950kg.
I dont think so.
FWD has a total weight saving of less than 100kg
