Howdy,
Fairly new here, so excuse the lack of knowledge..
I'm looking for an aftermarket or modded front grille to suit g1s2... basically i don't have the tools or motivation to do it myself.
I'm not big on the chrome, but otherwise anything remotely close to body colour is awesome... trick is i don't see many getting around in my colour (fades between grey and light blue depending on light)!
If someone has a clue as to what fits, and where to get it, that would be awesome.
Cheers,
Matt

Do it yourself buddy. I'm the least practical person on here and i'm finishing mine off in the morning. You will learn heaps. It's not really that hard. You will really struggle to f it up.

Haha. Worth a shot I suppose, worst thing happens it doesn't work, buy another grill and have another shot! (But I am sure it will not break that much lol). Practice makes perfect :P Haha.

Any clues on what you'd want? I'm willing to do the painting myself (or at least organise it myself) since I have the eyelids coming too...

hi mate seriously there is nothing to using bog at all. you mix it with hardener, more you use the faster it sets. you smear it over the area as flat as possible (less to sand back) then sand it down until its smooth and level.
i once had no idea but taught myself and read tips on how to do it.

omg just get a grill from a wrecker and give it try , what have u got to lose except $20 or something..

I'm really not into doing it myself. It wouldn't cost just the $20 because I have NO tools here.. I would need to go buy a hacksaw, bog, kneadit,, any glues,, everything! My tool collection goes as far as a drill and socket set, I'm just not really a DIY kinda guy.
Thanks to those who've made offers, if I haven't pm'ed you already I will do so shortly.

Sure you have to make an investment, but next time you have to do something like this you don't have to pay someone to do it for you because you'll have the tools and materials. Like they said, bog is pretty easy to use. I'm very unpractical and i worked it out no sweat. Don't mean to hassle you but it really is worth a shot.
Excuse my filthy stonechipped front end, but the results speak for themself.
Massive thanks to all the boys who put together the faq diy on the grills. Uber helpful.

yeh i prefer the badge in the middle, but i think i need a new one. I can always cut it out later if i don't like it. The rest of the car is letting down my sexy grill now haha.
