Put 30l of Synergy 8000 (first time since putting the voschip in) in the car today, almost instantly it started spluttering and pinging it's tits off, then kicking in to limp mode with no boost almost. I'm thanking my lucky stars that I only put 30l in so was able to dilute with another 29l of Ultimate from my local trusted servo just then. Car seems to run a bit better now, but a bit off. Going to reset the ECU over night.
Amazing!

wow that sux a$$
I always use ultimate when filling the tank right up, only really ever get anything else when I only need 5L to get to the next BP
PS. Reset overnight? Just do the cable swap routing, ie. green to green, black to black. Takes 5 minutes at most

Fuels do stale - especially for 98 premiums that not alot of people use it in their car (compared to ULP). Considering it takes roughly 4-6 weeks for us to sell a tank of 20000L of 98 Premium at the place I work (it's an average servo, not too busy), only put them at a servo that sells a lot of them to make sure it's fresh......

On another note, how much harder does the car pull with the VOS Tom? Be interested to see how hard the car pulls considering you have a VF12 and 3in TBE as your only mods don't you?

Was the Mobil on Toorak road just near the freeway exit. I was coming back from the city and the fuel light had been on almost 100km :S The fuel going stale thing is probably true because the pace was MASSIVE and EMPTY!

Seriously dude, get it! Car is pretty damn different to drive :)
I haven't done the coil conversion yet, but haven't had any missing or other crap.

Hey servo gurus, is there anyway to tell how full the tank is [in the servo] - like anything on the meter us consumers can check out?

I think they use a giant dip stick

We do (and I believe most servos do) check the dips everyday to see how full the tank is. Also the console/computer will have cumulative readings and possibly tank readings (on newer systems) ......
LPG tank will have a gauge/digital readout instead.
However these readings wouldn't be available to customers.

If someone came up and asked you, would you be allowed (company policy) / would you tell them when you last got a shipment in?

Is it possible you ran your tank to dry and started sucking sediments of crap into your fuel lines?

i think people would be horrified if you know what was in the bottom of your fuel tanks.
friend of mine had his cleaned in his falcon after crap got caught in the lines and rolled into the ford dealership. when we went to pick the car up, the mechanic showed us a sample of what was in it...
just, crap. i could make out little pieces of leaves etc. when i can be bothered, im going to get mine taken out and cleaned properly.
100km's on the light is a fair way. the light usually comes on with about 14litres left i believe, so you would have been down to your last litre or two...
might want to change your fuel filter aswell.

arent we missing something here? if you just put the VOS in, whats to say that didnt cause the issues? or if you just changed the fuel filter that could be contributing??
its unlikely that fuel will be THAT bad to cause problems that big. syn8000 is the best 98RON fuel imo..

Called Mobil and complained, they're going to send someone down to test the fuel quality... After talking to dad, apparently that petrol station has been dodgy bastards for YEARS now, getting done for price gouging and putting dodgy **** in the fuel...

They don't have special policies on it so generally if a customer come in and ask me I'll tell them the truth......

Are you sure? Even those tankers with big Ultimate signs are not neccessarily carrying BP Ultimate......
