Hey fellas, finally found time this arvo to have a look and see if any work had been done to the snorkus.
This is what I found......http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/dansun/snorkus003.jpg

The pipe looks to be about 60mm with a tight 90 degree feeding into the airbox.
How effecient does this design look to everyone, who thinks I should leave it as is and who thinks I should change it....if so, what too?
Cheers

Looks pretty good from here although i'd be careful about driving through large bodies of water coz i've heard CAI's like that can work like a giant Slush Puppy straw!

Virtually what I have but mine's 90mm, it's a pretty common mod that's cheap, works & looks stock from the engine bay, I'd just get another short piece of the same mm pipe & hit it with a heat gun to make a bellmouth (by puting it over a bowl whilst it's still hot) & shove that in the end, I also have a bellmouth in the box at the entrance to the AFM & the exit from the pipe, smoothes out airflow apparently??? I use a dry nissan filter on mine, don't like oiled ones.

I wasn't planning on forging any rivers in the new car so all is good.
My only criticism on the job was a) maybe shoulda gone with 3" pipe? and b) it doesn't really lead to anywhere, its tucked right up inside the front bar skin to the side of the foggy?
Maybe remove right foggy for ghey ghetto CAI????? hhhmmm maybe not.

90mm now were talking. Bellmouth for sure, thanks mate.
Danny40: this is how I got the car 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure how she runs with stock snorkus.
