Well after all the work I have been doing to my car of late (gearbox and wheel bearings, brembos, 02 Sti wheels and new seats.)
I have finally given her a wash, and taken some fresh pics, so here they are:

Yes I had 4 pots.
Nah I like the gold with the green car

They look like they have already been painted that colour mitch, considering STi rims come gold as standard.
Mickey, this car looks awesome. Its testimount to why if my car was ever stolen or written off (fingers crossed that doesn't happen) why I'd get a Gen3.
Mickey
30th August 2007, 08:39 AM
Thanks for the kind comments guys.
I loved my old wheels, but they wouldn't clear the brembos :(
And well brembos won that battle.
I am unsure what I will do with the colour of the rims, I like the silver, but there old owner didn't do a great job painting them, so I may re-do them, either silver or go a carcoal colour.

This car looks awesome mate. Hopefully I'll see it soon enough.
What springs have you got in the car? Stock Billstein's + King Lows?
This car sits at an ideal height and looks hot!
Mickey
2nd October 2008, 05:54 PM
Just Billies and King lows.
It sit too low in the front to have a front lip though.
Even take it slow and carefully it hits :(

Very nice indeed. :D
Mickey
27th November 2008, 05:31 PM
Its a sad day :(
The Volks are off the car :(
To much work was needed to get them to fit.
Make a note people 17x8's with a +44 offset will not fit on a gen 3 (or gen 1 or 2 for the matter) without some serious guard work!
So the STI wheels are back on.
And the Volks are for sale
Geach
27th November 2008, 05:32 PM
215's or 225's mickey?
Mickey
27th November 2008, 05:45 PM
I had 225's on there.
Even with 215's and the guard rolled still some mega scrubage :(
I would have had to fully pump the guards.

Personally mate, I reckon the STi rims looked better anyway. Although, that could just be because you didn't get a chance to put some lower profile tyres on them.
smoov
27th November 2008, 11:48 PM
Bugger.
Sorry to hear about that Mickey. It looked orright with them, although, I do like the STi rims better.
I'm sure they'll go on rexnet.
+1 for wheel painting. But don't go black black. Go a nice charcoal with a bronze metallic flake :)
