AHA! Another Gen2 wagon in the rides section!!

At long last!! Welcome brother!!

That front mount looks tits. I love it! Got any underbonnet pics of it in its current state?

The GTB kit looks great...but hey, I'm biased ;)

Your tailights....they're tinted.. are they GTB items?

Mirrors and side strips definitely look better colour-coded! Are you planning on going the RX/GT/GTB mudflaps?

I like your wheels too...the old ones weren't so bad neither!

Two thumbs up Brad! Looking great!!

Hey, cheers for the nice stuff about my car guys

Alex,
i just put a pic of the underbonnet up, its nothing special atm, will look better with twisted setup into gen 2 NA airbox.

i thought about the gtb mudflaps, but i would rip them off in a jiffy i reckon, the car is fairly low, its not unpractically low tho ;) i have trial fitted the fronts from the gt frontcut, they looked out of place, but that was cos they were black still!

my tail lights are gx items, i tinted the indicator only cos it looked a bit odd with the silver car and the white/clear indicators. the tint job is not the best close up, but ill get some new ones and take my time with them sometime.

the car is almost how i wanted it to be a year ago when i got it, i have it looking just how i want it, it handles well, i just wanna make it go a little harder, i want 190-200kw atw, with the new motor etc it should get there very reliably. ill keep this thread updated as i go!

cheers, Brad

smidge i am running an aus delivered rs ecu mate, made a patch cable for it so it plugs in to my tt loom

Marty
8th June 2007, 12:18 AM
ah i think i remember when you posted that, i thought you were running later model WRX management but i guess theres no reason the RS would wouldn't work! did you have to change injectors or coils or anything on the spark side of things?

like the new nickname...

scrim
8th June 2007, 01:29 AM
very neat underneath brad

one of the best libertys i've seen.

B-rad
9th June 2007, 10:36 PM
Yeah marty i did a thread on it a while back!
mine is a 1995 frontcut (pre 11/96) in an MY97 car... so the running gear is before the change of wiring and engine management, which means the spark and injectors are same as rs, same map sensor etc same plugs on the ecu aswell so basically just jiggle the wires around.

your running gear is MY97 (post 11/96) so same plugs as version 3 sti :) do we hear single conversion???

i am planning on converting my loom to version 3 sti as soon as i can and as such running ver 3 ecu, intake manifold, 440's etc, just collecting all the right bits. i want it to be factory management so as not to void insurance, but it needs to controll 440's im tossing up between ver3sti and a Digital Fuel Adjuster to run the 440's depends how economical the ver 3 gear is.

thanks scrim!

heres some more sexy time!
