Very very nice ride there Craig.

What do you use for the leather? Its looking damned good for a car this vintage.

What offset are these wheels? They almost look like an OEM fitment!!

rs guy - Thanks mate :D

smoov - I used to use a saddle softener product called "Ge-wy". Its pretty good except its fat based so it leaves the seats amazingly greasy. I've just done the seats today with the same product but in a creme form. Heeeeaps better! It soaked in straight away and leaves almost no residue. Good stuff :tu.
The rim are ROH. Not sure of the offset, Ill run downstairs later on and measure them up :)

sparta - Yes. Yes they are. But I know that I'm the only person in Oz with them in that spec :D

Baz Sta - Cheers mate :)

Jas - Thanks dude. Hmmmmm. Vinyl.... What about sculptured velour? lol

X - Well spotted :) It's the best way, i find, to get the whole interior in.
Thanks :) I still haven't spotted you up north yet... Im up there fairly regularly visiting the folks (they live out at the Terrace). Once I'm back from OS i'll organise a Novocastrian meet of some description :) Plenty of good photo op's there :D

Cheers,
Craig.

This post has been reported for excessive use of fish eye.

Top car mate, you know where it can live if it needs a "good" home while you are O/S

your not the only one with leather mate, hendo has them aswell. But I would assume that the stitching was done for the motor show correct??

93GTLegacy
18th February 2007, 09:18 PM
sparta - Nope. Got rid of the wagon a bit over a year ago now. This was onw was bought about 2 hours after I sold the other one :)

yods - In this corner weighing in at gx wagon conversions pounds...YODS. And in this corner weighing in at lx conversion pounds PHIIIIL. I think it would be on to get a hold of it for a couple of weeks :)

mitchm48 - Really? Is it the same layout or is it the Heritage style seats? They weren't as 'huggy' as these ones. ??? Just going off what Subaru told me :) Yeah I think the stitching would've been for the motorshow. No complaints here so far :)

It's a double exposure using a sticky pod, (which is basically a suction cup and rod that holds the camera to the side of the car at a distance away from the body).

You use slow shutter speeds for the blur. It's a primative rig shot (if you read Speed/Auto Salon/Wheels/Motor you'd know Easton Chang's rig shots).

Very nice RS you have there :)

It's still black, but it is pleated instead of perforated and there is no "RS Turbo" embroidery.
The leather on the door trims is also pleated instead of flat.

Nice photos Craig - our cars look almost identical! However I think yours is in a bit (a lot) nicer condition :(

On the mystery that is your leather interior - I have seen a few RS's in the flesh and in photos with original leather (not heritage swaps) and they have all been identical to Hendo's (non perforated, pleated seats and door trims).

I wonder if yours could have been a custom retrim when it was new for the Motor Show?

Regardless, I want it! :D

Thanks ya'll :)
Im starting to think that to. Maybe thats what Subaru meant when they said it was a one off. Oh well, It's still a nice place to be :)

Marv - Shut up man! Stop giving away my secrets lol :D

Rig shots FTW!

Kinda reminds me of a shoot I did ages ago on an 'Al-built' Gen2 sedan...

Either way, atleast you're using sensible methods rather than ghetto methods like Yours Truly here. :D
