When you go to all the effort why lack in one department. You might as well have a nice comfortable ride. Last thing you want is to feel every bump and feel like you in a boat taking the corners.

what is the problem? or what are the symptoms?

ive got new injectors coming for mine, as soona s they turn up, ill fit em, tidy the tune enough to drive to syd, then go see Spirro at autotech.. ill have to catch up if you arent too far away from parramatta..

likenother

Mmm the problem is the car is still randomly stalling and missing, the best way i can describe it is like running out of fuel and then getting to much which then floods it. The car will be fine one minute then stuff up, then be fine again.
everything has been replace afm coils ign relys fuel relys injectors and so on took it to my mechanic and of course it didnt do it for him over aweek he had it so that was no help last try is another walbro fuel pump if that doesn't work it will just live in the back yard for now lol

Matt, hate to sound like I am ignorant, but what are monsoons?

Can you give me some finer detail on what you are planning with the roof? I am about to have my front screen out and the rust repaired along the top edge, and at the same time I also want to repaint all my black trims, the guy I am seeing was a bit unsure as to removal, and wanted to wait till we see his glass guy, when he comes to remove the screen, is there a tutorial on here for those (side strips) that you know of?

You mentioned the roof liner too, I spoke to a trim guy and asked if I should have it removed while the rust guy does the front screen, and if he thought it was better to do it out at the same time, he said he would prefer to do it in the car!? I never expected that, I asked about all the interior window felt trims and he said that he did not like removing those either as they don't go back well and can break etc. Which I can appreciate, but doing the roof liner inside teh car I thought was wierd.

Also, I have to get access to the interior of the liner if the tail gate is to come off, as teh connectors for teh wiring are all in there.

Hi Sean these are monsons theyre rare as rocking horse shit.

To pull the black trim off you have to take the roof liner off to get to the bolts that hold them on and if the rust is bad you will also have to pull the roof liner off to check the under side so you might aswel get the guy to do the roof liner out of the car.I don't think there is any how too's on whats the best way to do it maybe post a thread in the Tec section.
cheers,
Matt

Marty
15th January 2012, 11:42 PM
best off just removing whole roof liner... my white RS was like that pretty much the whole time i owned it

to get the black metal trims on the outside off you just gotta pull off the rear black inside felt trims.. then there's 8mm bolts holding them in

also LOTS of sneaky screws hidden under the door rubbers, you WILL bend them if you don't get all the screws out

thanks for coming along matt :)
