Ian,

No, the japanese stations are lower in the FM band.

So, I bought a frequency converter, put it into the aerial circuit and all stations were then on the Australian FM band - 88 - 108 Mhz.

Easy as!

Jaz,

Correct me if I am wrong. You told me the pod came from BJM in Launie?

AND next time I'm in Launie, you are going to clean the footprints off the roof lining, right? And repair the glovebox lid, eh? :P

Jaz
26th March 2007, 09:12 PM
I did get one from canberra, but I bought it off PDRSRA, but I'm not sure if that was the one I sold to you, or the other one... can't remember where I got the second one from! THinking about it, probably got it from BJM when I borrowed his boost guage...

and hey , at least theres less squeaks in the car now...

Gee Paul, thanks for that. NOT!
I'm surprised with all the horse trading you get up to you even remember where you got anything from, or where it went.
Not too sure about the chrome doorhandles, not dissing your ride or anything, just not too my taste.
It is surprising how things have progressed over time, in a good way of course. And yes, I'll get around to updating my pics sometime soon.
Al..

why would he have a drama stopping it anyway??

B-rad
23rd June 2007, 08:07 PM
yeah your right raz 277mm rotors, some new fluid and some decent pads will pull up just as well if not better than 4 pots

i know mine will lock up at ANY speed.

But try and do that multiple times on a cruise/race track and compare it to 4pots that had new fluid and decent rotors...

B-rad
23rd June 2007, 10:09 PM
were not taklign about a race track, and im SURE daves wont see the bitumen track anytime soon.
but as for braking exessively, do you count coming down poatina hill as fast as one possibly can? enough exersize for the brakes? tbh ive never expeirienced fade

Jaz
23rd June 2007, 10:50 PM
I've experienced fade so bad with the stock RS brakes that all I heard was a metal on metal grinding noise... have yet to experience fade at all with the four pots...

this'd make sense... if it were true. but its not.

a larger diameter rotor will dissipate heat better. not to mention the pad surface of 4pots is larger than 277mm 2pots = greater breaking power.

new fluid and decent pads will have a marked improvement as in most cases the fluid is prob 10 years old!

but your formula has no real sense to it. if there were no improvement in having larger brakes, then there would be no point in using them.

bigger brakes = better stopping... not the other way round
