Here's a few pics of my baby,

Had it for three years and it's only getting better.
It's got a few go fast bits, a few handling bits, a few stop quick bits and a few look good bits.

THe only panels to be resrayed are the rear bumper with some blending into the rear guards thanks to a 3kph tap on the bum 2 years ago.

Wow, I wouldn't've thought so but thanks for the compliment. all it needs is a nice CAI to top it off (coming soon) I'm sure RSTurbo will be pleased to hear.

Done a few changes, and I don't think I'm finished yet, There's a few things different from the previous engine bay shot if people want to play trainspotters. Seems to be some enjoyment in that....

Original bay shot

Now it looks like this:

And another for good measure:

Some changes are obvious, some less so.

There's an aftermarket MAP sensor, did you get an ECU? Haltech?

Correct, it is a 3 bar MAP sensor, Run by the Link I had previously. The other thing not noticable from the pics is that the bottom end is now V3 STI. Mmmm

The braided lines are for the parallel setup.

All I need is a turbo that'll pump a reasonable about of air and I'll be fine (vf23 has bits missing from comp blades :()

How'd you go with that fuel line J???? I remember it lying in the back floor the day the gearbox shat itself.

Car's looking nice. Wheres the bikini girls??????

Jarrod

Engine bay's looking nice.

Fixed. I still have to get the spoiler done, and then fit the front lip. Then you're existing statement will fit. Might raise the rear end too.

Fuel line is good. Nice finish and stops kinking with the braid. Had to cut the braid with a rotary tool to stop it fraying. It's damn hardy stuff. For $16 a metre I'd recommend it to everyone.

Bikini girls are for my own parousal only I'm afraid.

I think you're talking about Nathan|RST| [LIBR8D] there Kezza, he has the CF all round his dash, though he and I have similar MOMO steering wheels.

Soon to come.... New turbs, and then a dyno chart to be proud of.

Unless I stumble across some others the 440s. I reckon I'll get 16-17psi from the PE.

Yep, I could do, will do, just need to clean it first. How bout I do it after I fit my widband?

Still regoed in vic as I moved up here after I bought the car and didn't plan on staying as long as I have. What can I say, it ticks pretty much all the boxes.

Changing from Vic rego to QLD is not as simple as $25 man. It means changing over 2 sets of licences, two roadworthies, and two new sets of registration and CTP.
Easier to remain on "holiday". I look like a tourist most of the time anyway, I'm either on my to/from the coast with a surfboard on the roof nowadays.

I concur.

The optimum size I think if you budget can do it is 600mm x 270mm x 75mm Fits perfectly. Feel free to pm bout the install. Lots of fun with an angle grinder.

300mm high clashes with the headlights. 270 is made to measure.

So I just got back from the tuners, after much complaints about the simplicity of the Link Matt Spry at PITS managed to wring 184 kw from 18psi.It made 150 @ wastegate pressure (13psi)

Not what I wanted, but it'll do, the drivability is great, will soon see what the fuel economy is like. I'm sick of chasing more power that it's seemingly capable of from it's parts sheet, time to just drive the bloody thing and enjoy it for what it is.

He's left me to play with the boost settings to see if wastegate duties and bases can be changed to bring boost on a bit earlier. Next step is a knocklink and I'll get playing.

I should also add that I'm taking EOI on the sale of this car, and it will officially go up for sale in about 6 weeks, just needs a cut and polish and detail first.

Jarrod|crzyrs|

When did you drop the 6spd in mate? And why the sale just time to move on?

When did you drop the 6spd in mate? And why the sale just time to move on?

6 speed went in late last year, got a good deal from Skippy, and I wanted the reliability of the strong box before I added too much power.

Reason it's up for sale is to add to financing a 3-4 month trip around western Europe.

I think it's about 10-12mm too low, but that's just me.

You are both right and wrong, front springs are King lows, with 02 Bilstein struts, the rears are 02 sti with King superlows as the lower spring mount in a GD is 30mm higher than the GC.

Out of curiosity how much are you thinking of for it mate?

Will depend on what guise it's taken as.
I'd let it go as is for $15k.

And yes, there is much of the sweat and tears, blood less so. There will be another that will catch my eye. It could a flat 4T, V6, V8 or a rotor at this stage.
