Yeh it is Tim. If anyone wants to quieten down their exhaust, I highly recommend you get one.

top cars mate, the carrcol rs has very similar engine setup to my wagon had (has ?) with the 20g turbo and a retune i nedded 223kw atw, so these things are way ahead of any rs engine in capabilities, enjoy it mate.

It's obsidian black but the photo's aren't much good for showing the colour real well. I reckon the V7 STI EJ20 are a fantastic donk but whether they are worth the extra outlay, depends on what your budget is of course. I would like to see how it would go with a re-flash tune but it runs so well how it is and is very reliable.

You wouldn't have a hope in hell Liberty Doof :P I can't take the credit for the colour of the paint/wheel combo. The car was owned previously by Scoobs who chose the colours for the body work and wheels.

Bit of an update with the poverty race car:
I went ahead and ordered some bigger front and rear sway bars off a vendor from the WRX Club. I ordered a GC8 22mm front blade adjustable and a Rs Liberty rear blade adjustable but in 24mm. The front was fine 'cause it's an off the shelf item, the rear however was a problem. Apparently Whiteline do not make sway bars anymore other than what is in their catalogue. You can have a custom sway bar made by the Selby Bros and I was quoted $400+(retail) to get one done. So I ended up getting the GC8 24mm rear blade adjustable and modified the car to fit the bar!. It took alot of swearing, cursing, bushy/farmer methods, grazed knuckles but managed to make it fit. Heading out to QLD Raceway on the 24/11/09 to test out the new bits. It certainly behaves alot differently, so I'll have to change the driving style a bit and see how it goes.

Another update: Installed a set of 4 pots, Protex slotted rotors, TRW pads on the weekend. Just in time for the track day this Thursday 11/02/10 at QR, hoping to bed them in properly. Got the Protex rotors cheap, don't know what they are like so I'll see how they stand up to some track work. Also installed some Whiteline sway bar locking bushes to try and stop the F & R sway bars from moving from side to side in the mounts. I haven't broke any of the links yet but I reckon it would only be a matter of time before that happened. Hoping this fixes the problem, if not I'll get some washes welded on to stop the side to side movement.

just out of curiosity ..how come the FMIC's aren't flipped webby, like the usual am auto style? is it noticably laggier or not soo much at 18psi :P

Webby
9th February 2010, 08:59 PM
Mine were done before the flipped core was the 'cool' thing to do mate. I think you would be hard pressed to really be able to measure the difference in lag with the length of the piping. Also what would I do about the holes in the engine bay??
That's 22psi btw :P

kezza
9th February 2010, 10:28 PM
just cable tie down some little sheets of metal :P 22psi jeezz!! no wonder you were right on my tail on the cruise.. my lib was pushing 10psi back then haha
keep up the good work webby :tu
