What type of ECU do you need tuned. Some workshops are better with one type than another.

Aaron is now down in Bibra Lake. I got him to retune MeanRS with the new motor too. Knows his ****. He now has his own 2WD dyno but still uses the XSpeed one for the 4WD stuff.

He does PowerFC, MoTeC, Haltech, Microtech, Xede etc... prettymuch everything!

I spent $600 for a full tune with antilag set up. If you just need a re-adjust and check you would expect probably 1/2 that. (as a ball park figure of course)
Most tuners charge a hourly rate of about $120 to $150/hr. Hub dyno's take around 1/2 hour to set and 1/2 hour to remove, so add the cost of that labour too.

Thats pretty good pricing for a full tune with antilag Doug, RMS?

Aaron just passes on the XSpeed rate which is $220 per hour (he has some agreement with them). He drives the car there for you, does the tuning and brings it back ready for you to pickup from his shop when it's done. Took 1.5 hours to do my touch up tune, you do the maths!

Crikey $220/hr I was way off :redface: It was a while ago, not RMS although I can recomend Leigh, especially if you have Link ECU. Rob at Speedworks will do a discounted rate for club members if you ask him nicely (rumour has it that he needs some cash right now :wink: )

Oops I fixed up my typos... Aaron uses the XSpeed dyno.

I know Speedworks normal rate is about the same but yes they have been known to give discounts to RS Liberty/Perth-WRX members, around $180 hr I think?

hey mark,

i used to take it to RMS. Leigh tuned it once, and it was the first time he'd seen an EMS. He did a good tune, but they don't use dyno's, only goes on road feeling.

Doug, it's an EMS engine management system.

Speedworks= reputable
ASG= Sean & Nick (ex Speedworks)=also reputable.
2000 R/min is too high. There's air getting past the throttle somehow, either through the ISC valve, throttle open too much, or via a leak. Get it checked out.
