Just open the yellow pages, find a few in your area, and get a quote from them. Once they have given you a price ask how much for cash and you will get a bargin for sure.

Cheaper for cash is what I ment. I did this when i needed a boot sprayed, saved myself 100 bucks.

ah yeh. What did a boot spray cost ya? I assume you mean the actual boot lid. I need to do mine since I removed the spoiler. I am going to plug up the holes and respray it.

With spraying cars and parts a cheap job is usually a sh!t job. With the respray of your bonnet you will need to have a bit of the front quater panels sprayed as well to blend the bonnet in so its not 2 diff shades of your colour on the car. My old mans a penal beater & spray painter, but if your looking for a quick, cheap & Nasty job, you dont want him.

Cheers Jas

This seems to be a decent thread to put this in. Eventually I'll want to get my front bar touched up, and may need a bonnet either sprayed or touched up aswell. I'm not after perfect paint because it would make the rest of the car look bad, but if someone can give me a good "range of prices" or some ph numbers, it'd help for when I've got some spare cash and give me something to aim for.

I was going to start a new thread myself, but I thought I may as well put my scenario in.

Car parked this evening, went back to it to find a ford falcon's front resting up against the back of mine.

I can see slight indentations, so its mc'forked.

Found out who the guy was, apparently parked behind me without the handbrake on, so it just rolled into the back of mine..... *&$^&#$^&#$&!!!

Anyways, exchanged details, and he was preferring to pay out of his pocket for it rather than go through insurance, with his excess being high.

What I want to know is.... Who knows of a panel beater in Sydney, that is A+++ class. Price isn't an issue (well...not for me ;)). I want the highest quality, brand new rear reo and rear bar...

Please PM and reply here...

alex

edit: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PARK YOUR CAR WITH THE HANDBRAKE UP!!!

well i think i might as well give my guy a plug.

in Sydney go see Candyman smash repairs, for those who have seen my car he does a pretty decent job for a good price.

I would recomend him...though be warned if you want to pay nothing you get nothing but if you want a show car you pay for.... well a really good price compared to other placed i got quoted...

What does the candyman charge for a 'normal' job Tim? Like plain old 2pac, not candy colour like yours. What was your price and were there any special discounts, mates rates

Best thing is to go see him to get prices, as he seem to vary every now and then.
all i can really say is that when i got my car sprayed i shoped around at like 20 or more diffrent workshops and Candyman definiety came out the best for value for money. i dont belive in Spending heaps on a a paint job unless the car is going to be a Autosalon show stopper or something.
Christuffa PM sent as well.
