I saw RSWEPON, Adrian KB, a white RS sedan with WRC number plates and a Silver B4 at the service park at the Forest Rally, Anyone get any photos of the spectator points?
Now that Mal's moved to S.A. we don't have a club photographer any more :(

Doug,
How was the weekend? Hopefully no problems.
I'll be catching up with Brendon (RSWEPON) tonight, and the white RS sedan is his mate Mat. I'll find out if they have any pics for ya.

Yeah, pic's would be cool. :tu
The car went like a jet, the only mechanical problem we had all weekend was a intercooler pump failure that the service crew fixed easy. I fitted a new turbo prior to the rally and it really blows my hair back now at 1.5 bar :D I scorched through the first two tarmac stages to be second fastest of the WA drivers (not including Dean and Darren of course). I nailed the hairpin on the handbrake at about 80KM/H then laid rubber from all 4 Giggi Galli style  The second night it rained between the top guys and us so we couldn't set a good time. There were loads of spectators at the Healthways jump so I hit it absolutely flat all three times so hopefully there will be some good photos. There must have been some RSLC guys at the Brockman spectator piont too 'coz I could hear them cheering over the tortured, unmuffled EJ20 at redline :D The rain on Sunday made things interesting, I had the car snap sideways on a 4th gear downhill section with a drop on one side and a bank on the other. It slid about 60 metres at 90 degrees to the road and hit nothing  I had to do one of those ridiculous "Austin Powers" 25 point turns to get facing the right way  It's a bit hard to work out the results over the two heats now but we won our class both days and probably 6th in the W.A. championship overall.
The new Ford Fiesta S2000 class car is absolutely awesome, the sound of this thing is un-fugg'n-believable :tu nearly as good as an 'ol skool flame spitting EJ20 :tu

bloody rally.com.au results not listing all the results.
got to agree with Doug, the Fiesta S2000 - thats an awesome thing to hear screaming through the bush coming towards you. Not to mention the overfuel bang in each gear change. Same sort of memory as with the 95-98 Ford Escort WRC's with their ridiculous antilag bangs.
great driving Doug, loved the hand brake antics on the tarmac super special - not many others dared (none on the Saturday night apart from one of the tarmac sprint guys). unfortunately no photos from myself, i was relying on one of the other guys who came along to take photos - and in the end he didn't snap that many.

We tried the handbrake on media day and it did squat with out car - most likely due to the mechanical diff rather than the DCCD. Didn't use it on the tarmac after that.
Had a decent day 1 - few niggling issues but happy with 8th outright ARC (and ~35s behind 5th). Beat all the WARC crews home too which we were pretty happy with considering how quick they are.
Had issues 2nd day, including a twice failed intercooler spray pump giving us inlet temperatures of ~110C and causing limp mode (we have a major issue somewhere...). Had a few decent stages (nailed the jump at healthway :D), but ended up cutting to the finish with a destroyed rear diff. Many people have told us we didn't miss much not doing the last three stages (they said it was so wet it wasn't fun at all).
Pics/vids of Car 12 would be greatly appreciated.

I have one. $100 and it's yours. You could fit it in Busselton prior to the rally maybe?
Then I'll tow you to the end of special stage three after you blow the side out of it with your DCCD. R180 FTW!

Except that we didn't even have the 6 speed in there - we have the 5speed dog (with the mechanical centre) that we used last year.
I think the R160s have a limited life for competition. I think this one, like your one, had done somewhere around 30-40 events
That said, still not writing the R180 off (waiting until we get the car home so we can have a look)

I finally found 4 seconds of the fastest Legacy in the rally (the only one  )
Hope the link works OK :q
