hey all, recently sold my 200sx and got this, nothing too flash but does the job, future plans just tidy the body up, tints, cooler, and some 19's (chromies)

92 RS liberty turbo
full 3" turbo back exhaust
pod
boost contoller
chip (tunded to run 18psi so i've been told)
os giken clutch
17" wrx rims

thats bout it really, small stereo..

not too sure what path a wanna head down with this car, not sure wether to keep going with the JDM tuner style or go back too the bling SEXSPEC style..

I like the look of the white rims on it.... But don't ever colour code teh strips if you're going to keep them, or the skirts. With those wheels that contrast is definately needed.

Looks clean, nice car.

wow.

what a nice, neat ride abzy.

please keep it that way! Charcoal rims would look good (i'm biased). But keep the WRX 17's. They're a great rim.

keep us updated with progress!

That certainly looks like a nice, clean RS Turbo, which is something to be treasured these days.

I hope to God, Jeebus, Allah, Buddah, Satan, Eddie Vedder and 6 of the 9 arms of Vishnu that you don't go the "sexspec" look (you must be a member of Team GroundZero or JDMST, eh?). Light wheels, well-sorted suspension*, brake upgrade FTW.

*King Springs & cheap shocks don't count

Nice car abzy.

!9" chromies do more than just look great, they have higher rotational mass which means more momentum so the car can cut through the air more easily and the car is faster overall. Also the extremely low profile tyres have stuff all sidewall flex so are extremely good for handling, better than you'll ever get with a light weight rim and semi slicks. Also, their extra mass makes it easier on the shocks because gravity forces them to the ground so they won't skip over bumps as easily. As for braking, well it's rather technical but the chrome in the wheels has a high piezoelectric resistance which under stress (braking) creates a current through the rim, the magnetic field from this current inducts a static charge in the road surface which opposes the motion of the rim slowing the car at a rate which is difficult to match with any rim other than chrome.

yes but higher rotational mass means less acceleration! And you have forgotten that the static charge induced in the road surface from braking actuall heats up the brake rotor quicker and therefore brake fade happens quicker!
just don't brake for too long is what your saying ay Rallyee?

i just hope if i do go down that path ppl will respect my decsion and not ridicule me for it..

Very Nice and tidy, looks so clean... reminds me of a virgin :) dont be worried about what other people think of bling, i like chrome, big wheels and flashy paint its all good.....do what you want to do and if people dont like tough :)

hey chris does that mean if i put my 20 inch chrome wheels back on i will like have the fully fastest and best stopping RS on the forums?? :) :) :) :)

maybe just dump it hard on the ground on the 17's, i reckon that would look hot.

tim.

Colour code the strips (cept the chrome) leave the skirts, and get the rims powder coated / sprayed a dark bronze / gold....would look hawt

timmo
15th May 2007, 05:04 PM
if you want chrome then get chrome mate....easy as that.

don't base your decisions on what other people think.

some go for the lightweight rims on a sleeper type car with a more performance orientated attitude, others like the chrome and paint, blingy style.

They both have their place and look good in my opinion.

abzy
15th May 2007, 06:33 PM

abzy
15th May 2007, 09:09 PM
your not bein serious are you?? each to there own but the 200 was one of the sexist cars in town and most places... simple colour, nice rims and interior, pure sex..

Awesome RS, keep it just how it is....except under the bonnet of course.

I'm not a big fan of the "All show, no go" theory and quite frankly love spanking little fellas with all their bling in my factory looking car (wheels, height and tiny flicker of alloy frount mount exempt).
The looks on their faces are prices.

abzy
16th May 2007, 03:52 PM
i'm lookin too make this an all rounder, but i'm doing the exterior then engine..

i know what you mean, ppl always thought my old car was show and no go, but when i smashed em they didn't know what too say hahaha

the RS is a fair bit slower than the 200 but i was honestly shocked how good they go when you give them a bit of stick, ggod fun round corners too :D

petsos
16th May 2007, 04:19 PM
