Funnily enough, I was thinking of this the other day - a pic from the states with an early wrx that had been painted matte black with matte black wheels made me think what you could do... damn, it'd be a ripper with that light weight body 2.5L and DCCD!

You want roof vent? Might maybe possibly have one coming in the next couple weeks with my halfcut. He said he's getting them to cut higher/further back so it might be included.

This is number one Elliot , no 2 is done mate & ready to rock no 3 is the Nissan S13 silvia >
thats a SR20 black top c/w T28BB turbo ,front mount cooler ,4" titaium zorst , R32 R200 4.3 rear diff ,R32 4 pots front , two pots rear, Hr coil overs , wheels are Elikins whites front x 17" x 8 & 17"
x 9" ( rear 255 x 40 rubber ! ) &a hard to get power fc ecu , need some race sets & a cage for this one :)

Roof vent would be neat , but I think the hood lining would be wrong as well ? it has a cut out that is set in if I recall

Where did you get the GX for $750. The cheapest one that I've found is $2200 and it has power windows.

Nice idea for a cheap rally car though.

This in my mates son Geoff,s ride I helped him build over the last few weekends .

Geoff seen my Ra build up as was keen to do the same .so it was on , Geoff looked in the paper of the next few weeks & called me as he found a front wheel drive GX that needed a good wash & detox for a few K so $ down & keys in had he drove away for 3K


Two hours later the full drive line was out of the car & ready for the pressure cleaner & refit to WRX .

I located a 1994 jap GC8 that had a TD05 ally front arms & was in good order & a fuel tank .So the purchase was made & drive line was removed from the cut & refitted to the GX after every think was cleaned & inspected & a timing belt fitted .

Geoff wanted his machine looking like a RA but with some small changes to brake away from the norm & so he can use the car for MC events with his dad .

I think its a job well done for a guy of 18 & one very cool ride

The Perth RS lads help were they can , we have a great bunch of guys over here in the west .

We all have some thing we can offer apart from Tom >> but then again I found out he has a daughter & she is gorgeous ( ! )
