Hey Guys and Girls
Was told to join by one of the guys on Ozliberty =] So here i am... Well my names Cate i'm from Perth and i'm 21 and i just recently bought a Gen3 2002 Liberty and i love it!
I know its not a Rs but i got told that didnt matter :P
Its mainly stock apart from the cannon and the stereo ( which i installed). I have a few plans for her but will have to wait untill i get a bit more $$$ behind me. I'm looking foward to learning a bit more about liberty's as they seem to run in my Family ... This place seems like a great place for my learnings.
Well feel free to Say Hello .... i don't bite ...Honest :D

As far as the Tassie lads are concerned, washing your car is an over-rated and basically pointless exercise.
Besides if its too clean your obviously not driving it how it should be driven:)

Welcome to the club Cate.
Of course its not an issue that you don't have an RS. As time goes on more and more people on this forum will most likely join the Gen2/3 crew for an update, and some even will go to the darkside (STi's or WRX's if they're broke hahahaha). There are many members on here now that have Later Model subi's (Mickey, Gradg, Baz, Vaccine, Billsy, Az, etc etc to name a few) so don't feel that we will shun off someone simply as they don't own an RS.
Also, there is a cruise coming up in WA in Late October (still a while off I know, check the upcoming events section) and I know you'll be given a warm welcome for sure over there, as the WA crew are a great bunch of people.
Enjoy!
P.s. Turbo conversion??

Pink surface area is the "stupidest" idea ever? What about putting a fork in a toaster that is plugged in? Or telling a girl her arse DOES look fat in those jeans?

The weight doesn't worry me, Its the look i'm going for.
My car isnt a light car to start with and it's not like i am going to ujse it for track events. It's a big car i want something that is going to suit it (eg) 18-19 as anything smaller would make it look kind of stupid IMO. big wheel arch tiny rims ... = bad.

I have 16s and my car is easily one of the best looking in the club.
Heavy wheels are better because they hold to the road way better and are harder to steal unless the thieves are strong, which they aren't because if they were strong they'd be out picking up heaps of girls like me. What's your MSN?

suspension, and driving style, in accord with good tyres will sort out all "flighty" issues.
Yeah i am going to get it lowered soon, i also think my shocks are going. Which doesnt help with the flighty issue. As for tyres i don't think the last owner used decent tyres they don't seem to grip much at all and they are meant to be "new".
my opinion is the last two rims in the above thread.... even if you want a bit of subaru style, maybe goin for WRX rims...most people rock them as they are pretty cheap/ nice and light and are made by ENKEI  (i think: someone told me)...got any pics of your car yet ?? :P
Yeah i thought about wrx rims but too small for me, but they are the look i want ... i like 5-6 spoke rims. I am going to get some pics this weekend me and a few mates are looking at cruise to lanno for sum spirited fun

yep, 5-6 spoke is the shiz, when i do get my licence back (someday in the next century)... and i am loaded, i am getting some hardcore ENKEI rims in charcoal (sooooooo ***en hawt)...you should take some progress pics of your ride, too see how good it looks once lowered & then with the rims you choose.
ps.. don't even think bout getting anything with a chrome face like the first 2 in the thread (they are pretty ghey, haha)

Check these out Cate, ,maybe what you're after. Price is good and they're reasonably light.
There is a fair amount of sarcasm in this thread, it may take a while to work out who's being serious and who's not. Tip = central coast.
