2001 Legacy Blitzen - New toy

Hey Guys after a long absence for the Subaru stable
I am back and the proud new owner of a 2001 Legacy Blitzen.

been into Subis for years after owning a Gen 1 legacy wagon. was on this forum along time ago and helping Discostu, Vaccine with there cars.

I pick this car up tomorrow and will be doing some mirror tidy up and get here on back up to prisitne condition

thing to do

1. fix cracks in front bar
2. Service and belts/ idler
3. Aus spec stereo
4. X-force Varex muffler with 3 inch cat back exhaust
5. Strut brace

other than that its going to stay very stock although I may put the wheels in the shed just to keep them nice and fit some 18’s (not sure ?)

So hoping I can join in on Vic cruzes and show you all this great car ! world on the street there is less than 5 in oz and all are wagons :)

Thanks Guys, yeah the car is going well.

already done pod filter (thanks Vaccine)
oil changed (auto trans next)
.6 mm restrictor in turbo line. more boost !(Thanks Rob)
3 inch cat back and X-force Varex Muffler (pick up today!).

Jas the Charade GTti is going realy well t25 turbo and waste gate being fitted.
4age injectors fitted with larger throttle body (i think Vl commo)
and the best bit WRX 4 pots and 294 mm DBA rotors and DMS 50mm tarmac coilovers all being done. - should be a realy little rocket !

I know of a Red Sedan floating around Melbourne too.

So I would say there are 5 wagons and 1 sedan in Aus.

love 99% of it, looks amazing, but ive always loathed blitzen rims, if you wanna update the look a bit, get some gen 4 blitzen rims .

Nah I will stick with the factoru 17 suit the blck paint.

Front windows tinted (darkest legal)
3 inch Cat back with Verex muffler (I love it !)
full service, auto inc (shifftes so much better)
turbo linerestrictor running 14/17psi !
blanked of the BOV for the full cooler doop
COI with autobahn pod.

I rang the bloke in a mad rush thinking Id found a gem as I hadnt seen it advertised anywhere else and was told it sold sereral months ago but hadnt been taken of the internet :mad:

Im looking at a black GTB advertised in Melbourne at the moment but it looks like it could be a bit of a bitsa car with a doubtful ppedigree. The thing I like about it is that it looks a bit like your Blitzen....minus the front bumper and wheels.

I notice youve got a 242 v8.......that'd be pretty scary.

Im also looking at an 850 R Wagon in black/grey.

its a mean looking things and ultra cool in my eyes but Im hearing scarey things about the 850s reliability and the cost of parts.

Yeah The Vovo is alot of fun ! still getting it ready for a RWC - does hell skids ! :D

I like Volvo 850Rs they have alwasy been on my shopping list. Part wise I dont think servicable items would be much dearer that a suby but if modifiying our thing the subies a better choisce.

I am finiding the Blitzen to Lack some torqure when you need it. it always in the VOB then takes of like a rocket. My bros SAAB 95 Areo has torque everywhere and would take the Blitzen until about 120/140kmph where the Biltzen top end would take over. The volvo's 2.3 5cyl is the same. for real world driveing the Twin turbo has flaws. and no cruse control sucks !
