Hi, figured i should probably do one of these. Been lurking a bit. I'm Layton from Newcastle. I'm an ex motor mechanic, but got sick of the trade and became a mechanical engineer. I drive a white Gen 1 series 2 GX conversion. Will dig up some pics at home. Its runs an RS legacy motor, with VF29, equal length headers, pod and chipped ecu. Boost control is by a blitz Twin SBC and there is a Blitz FATT and a few random gauges lights etc in there too. Wheels are white 17 inch 5 spoke generic rims, with terrible tyres. The conversion by the previous owner was a bit rought but i have pretty much pulled the car to bits and re-done it so its reliable and goes much harder now.

My main motorsport fix is 4wding, mainly rock crawling. I own a modified suzuki sierra. Mods include spring over, stretched wheel base, interco TSL/SX, dual lockers, custom injection running haltech managment, reduction gears and a whole pile of other custom bits and peices.

I also do a lot of custom fabrication work, building competition rigs. Currently working on a landcruiser - 80 series chassis with a 75 series tub. Custom linked suspension with coil overs, full tube rear chassis and external cage, supercharged lexus 1UZ with cruiser auto custom mated to the but, and geared cruiser t-case. Strengthened diff internals and braced housings. Air lockers front and rear. Will run approx 40 inch tyres for comp work, but street rego'd on 33's or so. No pics at the moment as its just a pile of parts sitting in the workshop next to the lathe.

And a couple of pics of the last truck i did a lot of work building. This was 90% built on a gravel driveway and single garage. 60 series cruiser chassis with 40 body ute chopped. Holden 5l, 80 series diffs with longfield CV's and air lockers. T400 auto into twin patrol cases. Custom links and coil conversion. Full cage and harnesses complete. 42 inch tyres for comp work. All registered and engineered (baring the tyres in the photo  ) This build got rushed and it still requires a lot of finishing touches and modifcations that are slowly getting done.

Welcome, nice looking Lib. I won't even bother commenting on the 4wds as I know nothing about them but it does look like fun.
