Hi there,
As the title suggests I am saying hi as I have just joined.
Just bought a 92 RS Liberty as a daily so I could take my other baby off the road (Tickford Fairmont V8) and do some work on it.
What I didn't plan on was that the RS was sooo much fun and quick to boot. It also seems to drink a lot so the daily drive bit has now been thrown out of the window.
I'll post some pics later when I am allowed as this is my 1st post here.
What I do know is I have a car I want to fix the issues on and make into a weekend car as well as a track day car. So bye bye daily drive!
Please bear with me as I have no idea about the EJ20T and when I open the bonnet I am instantly lost as to what I am looking at and for, it;s no windsor V8!
It came with the following mods:
Apexi pod filter
Blow off valve
3 inch exhaust from turbo
MRT Computer and tuning
17" 2001 WRX wheels
WRX Front seats
It also has a missile switch on the dash which, changes boost from 5 psi to 15 psi.
I have tried this once but on 15psi it started to stutter and not deliver anything.
All the mods were done by MRT is it worth taking it back to them to get the whole thing retuned or is it a very simple fix? Any suggestions would be welcome.
On 5 psi the car runs well and no surging or stuttering, just 15 psi.
Also sounds like I have noisey lifters, it is worthwhile getting the heads cahnged now or just wait, will I get better performance if I change the heads?
Is there better heads that I could fit?
I have lots more questions but I will do some searches first.
