I am planning on a trip early next year and will do some touring around in a The Type R. I also plan to do a trip to Queenstown in the 22B. I did work for Trevor Crowe, I served my apprenticeship at his Workshop when he was a Subaru dealership. That's where my interest in Subaru came from although I did not get my first one until 2002

Hi Bernie, the build is not finished and I have still got a long way to go with the car. i started my own business and the car has been set aside to focus on the business although I do a few things along the way. I have now got a Facebook page called car builds by slade as well as an instagram account by the same name which I keep up to date with the projects. i will update the forums along the way as progress is made with the build but the Facebook page is the most current on what I am up to with work and my Subaru projects

Hi Guys, I have a few updates, I know itís been a long time since the last post. Over the last year I have been working on importing my 22B and Legacy type R to Northern California where I live and run my business (Slade/AVS) and you can find me at car builds by Slade on Facebook and Instagram as well as www.carbuildsbyslade.com. Anyway thatís another place to find more about all my business projects etc. I will update on this forum though and I have been working slowly on my RA project car as well so Zi will have more interesting posts coming soon. I have been working on the interior of my Legacy and fitting a JDM center console which is different to the USDM one because it had electric seatbelts and different mounts and a much shallower compartment below the armrest pad. Iíve also got the rear seats being upholstered and the headliner as well. I should have them back in a week or two. My Forester is also being completely repainted and I should have some updates and photos of that soon as well. I normally have updates from my computer so I need to figure out how to post photos from my Phone 😁 any advice would be helpful with that. I canít figure it out at a quick glance.

Hereís a look at the Legacy again. I have been working on some of the projects, I have now fit the JDM center console and more of the interior trim that is not standard in the USDM shell that I used. Most of the parts on the car are JDM so itís been a process going through and cleaning up and prepping the new interior parts. I have a plan to make the front door card pockets Kevlar to match the seat backs. The seats look fantastic with the Door card pattern. The rear seats may be back from the upholsterer in a week or so

I don't even know what that is? STI enhanced USDM Liberty?

Edit that would be the Legacy type R?

One of the things that I have been doing with my business is heavy investing into equipment. We have custom made a lot of things which are in the photos of the gearbox stands and nitrogen bottles carts etc and then also I have been buying equipment from Breda that supply the F1 teams as well as many other series in Europe. Here's the photos of what I have as far as equipment now

The 22B is original and so itís a right hand drive car. Obviously not practical for the USA so itís mainly going to car shows etc and wonít be driven much

And apparently the correct way to treat a 22B ;)
