    Fair effort mate!
Looks like you’ve routed the pipework opposite to what many do too. Hot side usually on the RHS and the cold on the LHS - no turbo heat to contend with.

    Good effort though!

yeh as said its a plasmaman kit actually for the rs bumper fitment was very fiddly my son who as fabricator by trade looked after that bit lol....when we first looked at the cooler it was like is this the right one the pic on there website has an rs vl style with bumper totally cut out but said it will fit with the bumper, a lot of piping is also smaller in diameter on other kits...

Yep and the pod needs to be enclosed. So basically in an air box. It's something to do with baby seals and won't somebody please think of the children!

All above my pay grade. At least I can sleep at night knowing there is no pod filters running around out there all nuddey and exposed. Lol

ha ha ha of course, yeh our only requirement for the pod is a steel bracket to secure it which you can only just see in the above pic....

yep the old 5 speed is still hanging in there but getting on with 308,000 kms on the clock so a 6 speed conversion will be on the cards apart from that just keeping an old turbo car from 1992 up to scratch....

6 Speeds are great, strong, reliable, nice shift etc. However spenno these days for a good low k one.
I scored a 4.44 02 WRX 5speed that i'm going to throw into something instead of my 6speed see how i feel about it, should make the thing get and boogie a bit better hehe

very neat ride, go with the 6 speed hard to beat, i run a long 6 speed, rather than short jap spec 6 speed, i had the box refubish rebuilt, theres a limit to these boxes to, they get hard to engage gears when on full noise..

I've got a type RA 6 out of an 03. Great for DCCD and front LSD but sucks having a 1:1 6th.

Why is that, too tall as it’s not an over drive like many other (all?) subaru 5th ratios?

Just feels like your changing gears more time than your not. When I'm just cruzing in traffic I go 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th.

exactly what i want flash the long 6 speed, this car still does some longer runs and want the cruising revs my mate had the 4.44 in his rs drove it back to back with mine a lot busier at 100/110
i actually beat him over the quarter and to 100 because he had to shift.... in gear pick yep its better especially putting along at 60 in the 4.44... if i did motorkhana type racing it would be good i reckon.
