Wow.. havent been here in some time..

ok, joined aug 03 after PDRSRA dropped a note on my windscreen. had a GX but converted, some may rememebr it.. eventually cut it into bits

the guys from days of yore in ACT might remember this pic, was form teh cruise that Pete made into the first ACTRSLC video

then i had an RS wags, did the whole shebang EJ25 built and tuned at home, 6MT etc sold to Scrim

Still own a shitter gen3 RX wagon, but its such that ive not even changed the oil in 2.5 years.. it just goes..and goes.

daily is moto, weekender is the disco. Spend all our free time building (our new home, retaining walss, gardens, etc etc) or camping with the camper (yep, those ACTRSLC coast runs just never went away for me...)

It's been a while for me too.

I joined in around 2003, when at that stage I had a grandpa spec 89 GX that I considered converting. I gave it to my missus who kept it for several years before buying a new swift in 2009.
I bought my RS in around 2004 and modified it right the way through to selling it to Thomas (albeit neutered) in 2009
I replaced it with an 07 GTB sedan, added an exhaust & tune to that, and then traded it in on a 2012 VW Passat Wagon.

Why I didn't get a wagon earlier I've no idea. Next wagon? I haven't had a V8 yet so maybe a Clubsport Wagon. I'd love to splash the cash on a C43 AMG.

Jarrod, long time no see. I also have the itch for a V8 just because I have never owned one.

They are getting a bit old now but I always wanted an S4 4.2ltr V8 Audi Wagon and came very close to buying one when I got my Gen4:

    https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/d...14524052/?Cr=2

But I will probably end up getting a MY10+ Range Rover Sport 5.0ltr Supercharged V8 as the next car in the next couple of years. Something like this:

Shaheenis, have a look into what's required for their major service and the cost involved. I've heard many of these vehicles come up cheap due to the cost of the major service, which is commonly avoided.

I'm not trying to put you off buying one, just do your research a little deeper ;)

    Cheers

Wow that is mega low Ks for an MY07. Mine is more than double that and considered below average.

    It's an M3 so the S65B40 engine. It's a 4 litre V8, 310kw and an 8600rpm redline

The 2 best things about this engine are the INSTANT response and the flatest torque curve out there. Seriously, from a tickle over 2000rpm it holds it's max torque to redline.
6000rpm of usable torque in every gear... giddyup!

I wish they would bring the Charger or Challenger to Aus, I would trade in my 300 straight away.

Although there are reports that they are building a Hellcat 300! If we can't get the other two, then I will get that

The Hellcat is MENTAL! I would happily drop the M3 and grab one of those. As long as it's the full fat 700hp version...

I love the 300, I've had it for almost 2 years, no issues at all. Plenty of power, plenty of room. And its not something you see every day on the road.

Only complaint is that with the sunroof and being 6'2" I really only just fit, and there isn't much room behind my seat when driving. However thats not an issue I have to deal with.

Ha well being 5'10 i doubt ill have the same issue.
Well ill be due an upgrade at the end of the year and haven't seen anything else that has grabbed my attention as yet.

Cant see a towball from your pic but do you tow much with it?
The whole reason i went with the jeep was to drag my boat around, but the 5.7L is a little lacking with everyday driving being a heavier car.

Well then the 300 won't be for you, as there is no tow option for the 300 SRT. I tow with the Jeep SRT, it can tow up to 3T's and does it with ease.
The old 300's I believe you can get a tow kit for it, but not the 2015's onwards.

hmm that's a shame, as would be looking at something 1-2 years old.
Well thanks for the info Mick, may have to do some more research.

My 5.7L tows quite well but just feels a bit heavy/lazy with general driving.
Perhaps updating to the Jeep SRT might be the answer

The SRT drives really well considering its a 2T truck. I was very suprised how quick it is when going though the hills.
With the adjustable suspension its lots of fun.

The challenger demon is the go. Comes with the track package. They also are releasing an AWD version.
Yea just have to buy one and get it converted. Did that with my truck and it saved me about 60k!

I did notice you had a Silverado, how do you find it? I love those trucks!

It would be great to see a Demon over here, however I don't like the odds. Plently of Hellcats already!
