im looking at a MY18/19 Audi RS3 sedan for my daily. cant find a modern scoob that i like, all ugly as sin ;) cant beat the gen1 liberties, other than perhaps gen4 MY08 but still too old for lease plans these days..

I think mylegacyrs tops us all!

My other Subi is my beloved Ruby Scoo:

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sUvVfKnML8U

She needs a bit of work atm and has an EJ brake conversion waiting in the wings too - I just need to sort out a sandwich plate for the rear backing plate, reaming out the control arm mount to accept the larger EJ ball joint and a set of custom front drive shafts to make it all work properly.

Then she might be done, other than an EJ251 conversion... maybe. She’s currently running an EJ22, L series AWD box with locking centre diff and 4.11:1 diffs. I have an auto locker to go into the rear too. Just need time to sort these out amongst the other project I’ve got going on!

    Cheers

besides my RS, i drive a VW Touareg v8 Diesel that pulls my car trailer it pulls like a Mack truck, after been tickled up a little with 300kw and 870nm all at the wheels, plus it good on fuel, plus it a lot cheaper to run than the RS...

over my work years, (retired) have had all types of cars at no cost as work provided them, every car was topped speed, the quickest was a Holden SS V8, managed to clocked 248kph, its was great touring car for the country driving, especially going north..Now have to pay for all running expense!!

    Hi All,

Was doing a monthly checkin here and noticed this thread which is cool.

My profile says I joined in 2003, but I thought it was earlier. Here is my car list:

92 Liberty RS that I owned for about 15 years
01 WRX got as a company lease while my wife was driving the RS.
05 Liberty 2.5i that my wife drove and I was back to the RS.
98 WRX that I got as a track car to move RS mods into sell RS. I still have this WRX for motorsports.
02 Renault Clio Sports as a daily... what a mistake!! Lots of problems
08 BMW 135i 6MT purchased to develop a tune for it to sell into BMW turbo market. Loved this car but sold when done with tuning!!
08 Audi A3 2.0T mainly for my wife... Another mistake with a number of issues
13 BMW M135i 8AT. Trouble with left ankle so needed an Auto. Loved this car also. Effortless performance with a torquey engine and nice 8 speed auto.
13 Audi A4 2.0T Wagon... to replace the Liberty wagon for my wife... drives nice but more Audi problems!
11 Impreza RS Sedan 5MT for my son to learn to drive in and he now drives that on his Ps
17 Porsche Boxster S PDK... mid life crisis?? Mix of my childhood dream of a Porsche and my love of flat 4 turbo engines. This car is beautiful to drive and I look forward to every drive like no other car I have owned.

So that is a car history of my family. I may have forgotten 1 or 2. Lots of Subarus. And lots of turbos! Have developed a hate of Audis and love for older Subarus, but not too keen on newer stuff.

Current cars in my family are:

    * 13 Audi A4 2.0T AWD Wagon for family duties (has an APR tune, so actually pretty quick)
    * 11 Impreza RS Sedan for my kids to drive (Ls and Ps). It is a really nice car in great condition and we have WRX suspension and lowered with WRX 17X8 wheels... but slow acceleration!
    * 98 WRX which is in my signature for Motorsports use. Still registered, but only used for events. Have a skidpan next weekend and my kids and I are all entered.
    * 17 Porsche Boxster S PDK is my daily drive. The best way to describe this is like driving a larger comfortable gokart on the road. Unreal front end grip and balance.

I miss the RS often. It is the car I have owned the longest and had the most memories in... Honeymoon, picking up my baby kids at hospital, and many car fun moments.

After so long i'd finally sorted out my 1j cressida for road worthy. Took it for one last drive to see if anything popped up. Got to end of parents street (working on car in their shed), did a uturn. Bout 100m from the house something in driveline went BANG BANG BANG. Parked up the car and bought a GT forester with some fruit as a daily. First subaru i've had in almost 20 years!
