Just wondering Gramps, but what work place lets you download whenever you wanT? It sounds like there are network cables running along the floor, hooked up to ye old dot matrix printers. RGB colours? Lol. I know a bloke that smoke a pack of Menthol 8's a day at work.

ive been running computer networks for 3 years, ill goto whatever site and download whatever i want, because im in controll. he works in IT aswell so im sure theres no problem with filtering. only the plebs and end users have to deal with the crap filters
Having a fast FWD is like coming out of the closet. Sure you will surprise some people but in the end, everyone knows you're gay.

Thats all well and good Bill, but i dont remember your name "popping" up in the past conversation. Describe what a end user is please.

dunno if i am stepping on toes here but:
end user is the ultimate client at the end of the line. Generally speaking they are not able to set any paramaters in the programs they are running, and usually cannot do anything with their machine without anothers approval.
An end user is a fairly generic term and can be anything from someone using word to someone playing a game (eg quake) to someone running a server ftp program.

an end user just denotes someone running a program that another created. In this instance Billsy is referring to just the desk pushers in his office who are more or less totally locked out of their systems, except for what they are allowed to use.

Thats what i thought as well and YES, they are not able to set any paramaters. they usually are a user, and not a administrator who can change whatever the hell he wants to on a network setup.
