cheers thomas for the helpful reply there

it was past 5 so i couldnt give any of the shops i know a call this late, unless you know of a 24 hour one?

im looking for a figure so i can determine if its worth my time starting the work tomorrow myself.
    or else
i gotta get the car booked in tomorrow as it is off elsewhere for other work for the rest of the week so my car will be ready for an event on the weekend.

    cheers

wilkinsons in bayswater are good fellas, wheels world in ossie pk probably booked out and can be $, vic park tyre are brake are apparently pretty good, otherwise i have a mate who has spring clamps.

just remember if you jack her up, take the struts out yourself and get hold of a spring clamp to fit them all back up you'd be recommended still getting an alignment after that.

at the moment el I'm still not sure if this event on sunday is on, and i'm unlikely to enter now as gotta go pick up the rally car from down south on sunday...

takes me around 45minutes per corner to fit

    remove strut and old spring,
manually compress new spring with spring clamps and ratchet,
put spring, spring hat, strut top etc onto strut and reinstall into the car.

dont get pedders. they wont lower it. i investigated them and it was going to lower my GX 4mm or something stupid even though the guy said it would lower it. i actually measured it and he was wrong. just go king springs if you dont want issues.
