Default dont buy from monsta performance on ebay

hey guys PH47RS aka adam and i recently bought a FMIC kit from monsta performance on ebay. this kit has to be the cheapest piece of west korean coke can fusing i have ever seen, the piping is very poorly welded, the hose clamps are made of elastic, and the silicone joiners are all the wrong size. we have tried contacting the seller to sort this issue, but no contact has ever been received. the only notification that i have received from them was the initial invoice. hopefully ebay can resolve this issue. just a warning to those looking for a budget fmic kit. my recommendation is the just jap bar and plate kit. $450 plus freight is a winer

Why would you not have gone or the justjap kit in the first place?

Theyre reasonably priced and have an aus warranty...

good advice there, and you usually get what you pay for, especially off ebay! how can you expect good quality from cheap chinease knock offs, the price sniffs of dodgey workmanship!

    hmm thats weird..

i bought a kit of them nearly 2 yrs ago and didn't have any problems with them (damn should of kept his mob number). The kit was also good quality, hose clamps were proper expensive ones and regards to welds there was only one weld that was on the kit, the pipe going to the inner guard and the rest was just bent to shape piping. it has done me good so far pretty similar to the hybrid brand imo.

which kit was it for? gc8 i assume
hope u sort it out bud

The thread should be titled "you get what you pay for" not "ebay seller is a thief".

Not so much pure gold. Its nothing but the truth.

The amount of fooling around with ebay sellers just to save a few bucks really is not worth getting a sub standard product and all the trouble.

I have no doubts the product is sub standard, although I bought a 3 TBE off them which looks to be identical to a TCP exhaust, so those looking for a cheap exhaust they aren't too bad. (This was over a year ago though)

This is like those scenes in horror/thriller movies when the teenagers go swimming/go in the haunted house and you just know that all kinds of blood, violence and gruesome death and humiliation is about to be brought down to Chinatown.

Ben, contrition and humility is a couple of arts I suggest you start getting accquainted with...

especially in a public forum.......it's not really any different than standing in the middle of a city square and yelling at the top of your lungs...some people ignore you, other laugh and point, some give you $hit, others ????

Meh, shrug your shoulders and move on.....

It's no big deal, no one needs to get their knickers/G-strings in a knot, I say settle it with a "conversion battle".

this is just getting good, (sipps coffee)

Al's statement is true, you do get what you pay for.

decent clamps cost $5 each, my pipes has 8 of them.

    You present a convincing argument.

Your thread title says very clearly that no one should buy from the vendor in question. Your reasoning to never buy from the vendor is that you bought a ridiculously cheap FMIC kit that most likely isn't even designed for the vehicle in question and subsequently found it to be of low quality.

Even a $430 just jap kit is not likely to be A1 fit and finish.......hence the suggestion for a different thread title other than the one that publicly attacks a business.

Your witty and insightful rebuttal has cemented your place in the hearts and minds of the RSLC. Congratulations.
    Cheers. Al.

all he is simply saying is buyer beware if your looking for a budget FMIC kit .. not everyone can fork out stacks of money for a kit .. a budget kit can be modified pretty easily to fit such as my own, but it sounds like the kit in question is not even worth the time fixing up .. Chris , weve done 2 conversions so far fault free and i was more than happy with what ive spent compared to spending alot of money getting it sent to QLD , i certainly do not doubt the quality of work anyone does and how well its done, but not everyone is rolling is the cash .. the moral of the story is you get what you pay for in a budget kit , but if you do risk getting a budget kit avoid the one in question ..

    Well well well
Mate, monsta blow chunks, its a fact, i have dealt with these poons, and english as a second language was not a subject they passed at school. As for the end user(we all know im his biggest fan), but i still dont like seeing anyone get stung(even morons who set there own cars on fire).

Why everyone is having a banana is beyond me.
As for budget FMIC kits, the Just jap kit is easily the quality of pretty much any of the big brands, it is sexy shiny, flows well and is priced accurately(personally i think 450 is too much for any cooler kit, but thats me).

I suggest we get together, have a few and watch ur mate adam try and put it in anyway... i enjoy giggling

2 conversions for "106 industries" which is what anyway exactly?, thats impressive.

If you think Al's prices are unreasonable, which is the impression i got. Go and do some research about some other performance outlets and get your car quoted up to have a similar system installed.

The fact that this persons kit is substandard is VERY apparent in the price.

Further more, have fun telling them to get effed in public, but you probably wouldn't, as you would not be hiding behind your computer screen.

i never said his prices were unreasonable? I even considered having mine done with him , but found a more convenient and cheaper option that would have worked and did work just as well .. of course workshops are going to rape you for getting that work done .. im not havin a stab or anything at anyone at all .. just backing up my mate with his original post ..
