    Default Gen2 GT

Thought I'd post some pics of my latest subie

it's a 95/96 Legacy GT that started life out as a GT B-spec auto
at some point in it's life, probably in Japan, it was converted to a manual and also received some GTB goodness, including computer, full loom, yellow top injectors and 90mm AFM

in a couple of weeks it'll be receiving a single turbo conversion
i've got most of the parts already just waiting for the ECU i won at auction on import monster

the car will just be built as a nice daily driver, so it'll probably only receive some tint, nice wheels, and possibly a wing/RX bar

since the photos were taken i've put the original Bilstein springs back in, as i tow a jet ski and motorbike trailer so the height wasn't practical... plus my kidneys weren't appreciating the ride on the bump stops

    Enjoy

    Joe

yeah it was on carsales, purchased it while on a holiday in sydney
the car's in good condition. the paint's pretty good, although there's a few golf ball size dints that dint doctor needs to come and push out
the front bar needs a respray from stone chips, but i'll hold off on this to see if i can source an RX bar
the front seats are fairly worn, so i'll look at replacing these at some stage, but i'm not too fussed for the moment as they're still comfy

the car's got little bits here and there that need to be fixed, but i payed a price with these fixes in mind
it's givin me some good surprises though, as i flicked through some receipts and found several parts, like starter motor, alternator and battery to be recently reco'd, many seals replaced, and a walbro pump fitted

as i said i just want a nice daily driver. i bought it for it's room and ability to tow

the suspension will prob go lower again at some stage, but only by 1-1.5 inches. will prob do sway bars also, but it's not required atm.

That blue is a great colour.

She does sit far too low. Not real practical as you say.

They are breeding. Starting to turn up on every corner. Might have to rename the site soon. RS Liberty club, with a gererouse dash of GT Leggy Wagons.

I remember looking at that online also when looking for mine. Title confused me a bit as it sounded like they were trying to sell a GTB, but the body and interior were all GT spec.

Looked nice, and must say looks better now than it did in the pics they were using yo sell it.

    Good buy!

    Nice one Joe.

That thing was for sale even before I bought my GTB back in mid '06. I spoke to the guy, and then he said it was suffering from a leaking up pipe somewhere.

I hope you got it for a good price

it changed hands in 06 as the owner only had it for 2 years
there's still a leak coming from the primary turbo somewhere, although it appears to be coming from the dump. don't matter though, will all be getting ripped out shortly

Thats a really Clean ride mate. paint is a nice change of pace, a set of wheels would really set it off.
